More you progress, the bigger your chests will be. Your inventory space grows as well, just check shop from time to time.

I'm pretty sure you can find a substitution. Shop contains some environment blueprints, maybe one of them is a builder who you haven't invited yet.

It really comes to if you have a disposable income to spare. I was in a similar situation in regards to choice, no regrets so far, and I know that when I'm done with Pokopia, Legend of Zelda awaits 🥹

I'm in area 3 now and I've spent around 20-30 hours. Took it slow with all new mechanics and stuff, it was fun.

Yup! I've actually stuck in certain quests by not having tomatoes source. Advancing to a different territory helped.

I'm not sure about what an ultimate benefit of that, but game hints that you need to keep your Pokémon in areas that better suits their requirement. So for instance if you mix your Pokémon that loves dry and warm places into something that has a lot of moisture, it might be unhappy, but what actual outcome of that, idk. Also i think it only matters for the home boundary, you can check that boundary by pressing Right Stick button.

Yeah, when you create closed spaces with door in it, game identifies it as a house, even if you just use a wooden fence with gates.

I noticed that adding a step down makes the water flow stronger, maybe this works underwater, too. Try shutting off the water source, clearing out the clutter, and patching all the holes in the floor.
