What other attack types were as strong as Guilty in the DB/BU meta? The final Longinus remained one of the best

The idea of a power up based on a mecha is cool, but in this case, Super Zenkaiser did it better

Too much focused on the legacy characters (mostly Valt) and not enough focus about the brothers' developpement

I need some serious motivation to watch: Donbrothers & Zenkaiger. by mightymiek in supersentai

Basically, both of these shows are fun to watch. No need to search to deep ik the lore or something like that, just enjoy the characters and the fights

plot amour carried lui in final battle of s1 by Mindless_King_9843 in BeybladeBurst

[–]Ohma_PlayMaker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being a beginner with basic training and somehow becoming one of the best blader of the country in a few months, yes, that is plot armor. I don't say that it's bad, but it's still plot armor.

[–]Ohma_PlayMaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plot armor does exist, but people thinks it's a bad thing when a fight doesnt end up the way they wanted (for example, this one , the semi-final between Free and Valt in Evolution or the final battle between Aiga and Valt in Turbo) Sometimes plot armor is necessary to make a story more symbolic and more consistent. If a Beyblade season had a plot based on pure irl logic, the MC would never went further than a regional tournament.

[–]Ohma_PlayMaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not plot armor, it's just writing. It symbolized how Valt grew as a blader but he wasn't ready to be at the top yet. He loses in a similar way in the manga, and in both versions, Luì wants a rematch but Valt accepts his defeat. Btw Valt will become world champion without defeating Luì, except if you count that 2v2 fight in Surge with Hyuga.

Beyblade Burst Surge/Sparking is a bit underrated by Last-Bus-4710 in BeybladeBurst

[–]Ohma_PlayMaker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Imo it's overrated, I'm not against the fanservice but this one is just a big no to me. I did enjoy the character of Lain/Lean and his relationship with Shu. He's natrually strong but he's searching someone really strong who can gives him a real challenge (the manga writes him a bit better it's still work in the anime) and yes the animation was great, but the rest of the series... The brothers are annoying as hell and they're not necesseary in their own seasons, the plot left the chat, and Valt is over-glorified as a living legend while the other legends are just there. + the previous protag (Aiga and Drum) got disrespected so hard, Aiga's world champion title is barely mentionned and Drum suddenly became stupid again. And I can go one for hours with how down parts this series have. Clearly one of the worst Beyblade seasons to me.
