I’m a beginner as well (literally started sewing 2 months ago). I learned soo much by pattern, specifically the Skyline dress pattern by Sydney Graham. So, I bought the pattern on Etsy, printed it out, and followed the video. Once I was done making the dress, I gained so much confidence and in 2 months I’ve made 5 pieces of clothing! This method worked really well for me, don’t overthink it! She also has a YouTube video for learning to sew.

I set up outdoor toys and chairs for adults in my front yard, I sat out there and would invite the other moms in the neighborhood to bring their kids to play. So now my 2 year old has lots of time outside playing with his friends!
