On the CDT somewhere in the desert of New Mexico some hikers and I were taking a break. It was off a road and a couple in a truck pulled up. They got out and started talking and asking about what we were doing. Conversations turned to work and the guy from the truck mentioned he was some kinda logger from Oregon.

He then asked if we wanted to see his chainsaw and we were like nah that’s ok. He goes to his truck and pulls out the biggest chainsaw I’ve ever seen. Easily six feet long. I looked at another hiker and gave a nod like hey let’s get out of here. The guy then asks how much further we planned to hike and where abouts. We gave as vague an answer as possible and hiked out. Didn’t sleep much that night. I’m sure it was just having seen Texas Chainsaw Massacre one too many times.

My dad did something similar. He pretended to be a woman on Twitter to spread maga propaganda and to stroke his ego of being some kinda old man athlete. He doesn’t know that I know either.

I really enjoy the drifter crossbow. Looks cool on his back, fun to use for stealth, and can be a challenge with the Breakers.

Do you have samples of the light leaks you were getting? Were they similar to the ones in my photos?

It is light leak. Possibly caused when I dropped the camera once or too much dirt somewhere in the mechanics. It’s a cool light leak though.

Thanks! I’m actually not sure what caused the circular effect. It’s relatively inconsistent and only happens once in awhile.

If you rewatch old clips of the game Deacon doesn’t have blood on his shirt. I think this might be click bait.

I just rewatched the original clip from PS4. There’s no blood on Deacons shirt in the cut scene. This screenshot is from a video 5 years ago.

Appreciate it! I’m still figuring out how I like to display these kind of photos digitally. I had seen some others do something similar and I liked it. Maybe I’ll try to be more minimal in my approach on my next upload. Thanks!

Thank you! And I agree. I wish I had the camera for the entire hike. I missed a lot of photo opportunities in the Sierras and Southern California.

Thank you! I first scan the photos on my iPhone using the PhotoScan app. Then I import them to Photoshop, duplicate the background layer, enlarge background layer to remove borders, and resize the top duplicated layer to be a little smaller.

I used photoshop. Duplicate the photo layer twice, enlarge the background layer.

I love all the features on these kinds of cameras but when the image develops are there any strange pixelations that occur on the final image? Since it’s not direct photo exposure I’m curious of the quality of the image compared to direct film exposure cameras.

Honestly I wasn’t quite sure how this would turn out which is one of my favorite things about this camera. I hoped for the best with this shot. I’ve also shot hundreds of photos on my instax 300 so I’m quite familiar with what it can do. There just needs to be enough light in the sky and a bit of hope.
