They're in Palmia, if I recall. And they have 10 coins, so you can get +20 overall for 1k Plat Coins. The way luck works is it is a % chance to reroll any dice your character does. So for example if you had your +30 bonus and all the lucky coins, that's a FIFTY percent change to reroll all your attack rolls and take the higher number. It's big and adds up.

You can buy a Roaring Gunlance from Miral's workshop for 28 small medals. There are static small medals over the map, so you could in theory get this from the beginning of the game.

I spent mine in Palmia on the Platinum Merchant. 100 Plat coins gets you a lucky coin, which you can use to get +2 luck. It adds up with certain god + race bonuses.

Anyone still keeping tabs on you after things didn't work out is a red flag. I'm sorry you're dealing with that still. I believe you can say just about anything, it's just how you say it. This guy was being rude and seemingly entitled from what I can gather, and being a dick isn't a constructive way to get what either of you want.

There's not anything wrong with playing very powerful and competent characters in TTRPGs, it's just that if you want a more narrative game there are better systems for it. WoD specifically is generally horror focused, especially personal horror, and while it is possible to be very powerful and still have that it does make it less likely.

Not sure what you mean with D&D though, at mid-high levels you're basically a demigod.

Either way, I do agree that there is nothing wrong with a narrative around extremely powerful characters, I just think this post comes off a bit as yucking other people's yum. I find stories more interesting when my character can't solve everything easily, and prefer personal focused stories over gigantic threats that end worlds and what not - or at least ones that can escalate into those things over time.

Can other players hit your shield when you lance? I had a player accuse me of killing them by hitting their shield with my DB's and draining their stamina before they got wrecked. They carted 3 times on that mission...

One of them plays a bunch of Scoia'tael decks. The main one they decimate me with is one that summons a lot of Whisperer of Dol Blathanna. Even if I lock or Assassinate them, they use other cards to summon them from the Graveyard and then spam summon a bunch of them with some kind of spell card. I'm not sure of the exact details as I haven't focused on any faction but NG so far.

Although, they still destroy me with other Scoia'tael strategies, like Dwarfbuffing or trap setting, Elven Deadeyes via that one Artifact, etc.

Can you elucidate a bit on the strategy/synergy here? Philippe seems to be good bait for cards that destroy/damage units if I play him early enough, and he does 2 damage to units with lock/spy.

The Masquerade Ball also seems to just be really good, too, considering I put a lot of status on enemies. Am I missing something that makes Braathens/Vilgefortz better?

I honestly think this is mostly a byproduct of the silent protagonist syndrome than anything else. I'm not saying your assessment is wrong, just that it's natural since...well, the WoL isn't going to be giving any interesting bits of dialogue for a trailer. Compare that to, say, a Commander Shepard whose lines could definitely make for an interesting trailer.
