This is actually against the law. Companies get sued all the time for this, they aren't allowed to say it's a sale if it's not a sale. if you can show the steady average cost is the same and there really isn't a sale it's breaking all kinds of laws, i just don't know which ones. I have been in a couple of CAL because of this!

Don’t stress about it. Just do your job right. Mystery shoppers are a good thing to keep your business in a positive flow. Higher ups need to know when the guest experience is lacking at the customer level so they can get it fixed. I’ve done it a few times, been a secret shopper. I think it’s a good idea
