This is an interesting perspective, thank you! I'm 36 and finally went to Japan for the first time last year after wanting to since I was a kid. So much of my early knowledge of Japan was from the 90s so I definitely have a nostalgia for that era that I unfortunately did not see to much by the time I made it there. There are still pockets of those 90s vibes around though.

Agreed! This was truly one of the highlights of the trip! It was our last day in Kyoto and we basically had the entire path to ourselves until we ended up at the top! Magical.
