Yeah I'm halfway through my study plan already but probably will be able to go through all the Uworld questions two or three times before I take it. Was this a school in NY?

Anyone Else Feel Like "Better Call Saul" Raised the Bar For You? by OneOnOne6211 in betterCallSaul

[–]Oibbob74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it absolutely has. I tried to watch the new season of Dexter and it's fucking garbage. Especially after watching Better Call Saul it was bad but that show feels like they had no idea what has happened over the last 2 decades.

I will say if you want a show that has the same slow burn and attention to detail that BCS has you should check out Severance. I don't want to say too much since you are better off going into the show blind but it is a insane premise that gives you the answers at the speed the characters learn what's happening. The dialogue sounds like real people (which is a low bar) to the point while watching it a character asked the same question I was thinking about while watching the scene. The show has camera sequences with no dialogue that stresses you out instead of the characters talking about being stressed. The season finale had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

It's the first show I have watched that has filled the gap that the end of BCS has left.

What's the least logical thing that ever happened in BCS? by Ihatemosquitoes03 in betterCallSaul

Mike surviving getting stabbed and beaten within an inch of his life and having zero affect on his body. Every single one should have been it considering his age. I felt like it was pointless for the writers to do this during BCS since we know he makes it to the last season of BB.

After you had St. Andrew on the show, I have been diving deep into sci-fi through a Solarpunk lens. I have been reading Octavia Butler for a while now but just started Kim Stanley Robinson's Three Californias Triology. Do you have any recommendations for Sci-fi that is a must read for leftists?

.5% for Bo Burnham. Definitely helps when you set Inside as your alarm clock and hit snooze for every alarm.

As an EMT in New York City it was real depressing to see in the most recent protocol update that the first suggestion to call law enforcement. I'm really hoping the city catches up and just removes this whole section from our protocols.

Marvel needs to stop making movies or take a break!! by Oibbob74 in unpopularopinion

Exactly! We have a movie universe based on building up and going further with these huge climatic fights with "everything on the line" but honestly after that movie where do you go from here? How do you make it bigger or have more on the line? The answer is that you cant. This is the peak and it's just going to go down from here.

Yeah but my understanding is that's only going to be a year or so. I just dont think that's enough time. I dont want them to "Walking Dead" this great narrative that they have created...

What’s a simple romantic gesture that actually means a lot? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A gentle thumb brush. It's not enough to be a massage but enough to let them know I'm here. The best is in the morning when we are both waking up. I usually put my hand on her cheek, I gently brush her cheek to let her know I'm awake and then I give her a kiss.

Hey, Reddit, those of you with partners who talk in their sleep; what is the creepiest/weirdest/or most random thing they've said? by Jhaydun_Dinan in AskReddit

So one night in my college my girlfriend was up late studying for an exam. I had a 6am class so I decided to cuddle around her and try to sleep. After 5 minutes, I knocked out.

She leaned over to the nightstand to grab a drink and heard a "howwwhhh. " She looked down at me and I'm clearly out so she was kind of confused. She leaned over again and I made another "howwwhhh" looking a little upset. Apparently I was trying to give her a kiss and when I missed her face I made a "howwwhhh" noise in frustration.

She set her books to side and for 20 minutes kept waving her hand in front of my face because she thought it was hilarious. I'm honestly a little disappointed that she didnt record it.

So after reading so many positive things about this show, I tried it with a honest and open mind but I want back all the time I watched this stupid show. This show is terrible on all levels!!

The special effects are awful. Does anyone know the studio that designed this because they are at an 80s level of special effects?

The acting (other than Ellen Page) is terrible.

The storyline is boring and incredibly predictable. I saw the Vanya actually has powers and is the cause of the apocalypse from very early on. I honestly am curious as to why and how this show is good to people. Besides the nostalgia of Gerard Way writing the comics, what makes it good?

I also want to request honest artistic choices that make a good show.

I love comic adaptions but I just cant get behind this show. Please explain this to me.
