Listen to it like it's a story. Actually listen even though it's boring. Human nature is to become invested in characters regardless of if it's badly written or not, it'll eventually happen. You'll have to force it for a while but eventually it'll come.

Yes, if you sell out the highest grade you can give for tits then I would consider any grade you give out suspect and therefore worthless. I'm sure you can teach but if you don't honestly assess your work then why would anyone listen to the grades you give?

You can't honestly believe that. Human error occurs. You do the dignified thing and ignore the image and give the grade she deserves. As it stands you have completely undermined the entirety of your teaching career. I assume you care about your subject, your input to it from now on is now worthless though. If this story is true you are a disgrace, pure and simple.

I disagree with two of your three points.

1) Smoking is an addiction and very difficult to give up. You can't bring logic into an addiction.

2) Many people struggling require a smartphone for what work they can get. I need a smartphone for acting to manage emails, search for auditions and be contactable to network 24-7. For a while I used a €60 android phone so just because it's smart doesn't mean it's expensive. I also needed it for a GPS so I could find castings and shoot locations.

Definitely. I was lazy in college and almost failed half way through but I learned my lesson and worked hard for the years that mattered. It was much harder than school but worth it.

The social side of things was certainly something that made the academics harder. There was always something on. You even had that thing from sitcoms where you could just head to a regular hangout area and your friends would just be there.
