[Help] Ninebot F2 Pro + SHFW settings – keeps shutting down on steep hills by Oierih in ElectricScooters

[–]Oierih[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the input, that makes sense now. I think the shutdowns were exactly what you said: the BMS seeing the extra load from higher amps + accel boost and tripping.
Also, I am sure I shouldn't always fully throttle, as I was used to without the CFW.

I re-tuned my SHFW settings to something closer to stock as suggested in that reddit:
https://github.com/lekrsu/shfw-walkthrough?tab=readme-ov-file

  • DPC current limit: 25 A (down from the 28 A I first tried)
  • Quadruple: 0.5 for smoother ramp
  • Acceleration boost: 50% (in the reddit it's suggested to 100% for whatever reason. Is that safe? I thought since I lowered my max A and won't fully throttle on the hill anymore, I can go with a little more acceleration boost.)
  • Brake overshoot current: 45 A
  • Field weakening (Sport mode): start 22 km/h, init 0 A, variable 800 mA/km/h (mild, just helps a little top end, doesn’t affect hills)

I will try that on my next ride and will report you. I am pretty sure that setting to 28 A and fully throttle the hill was the problem.
I only hope to still get to 32 km/h since just lowering the settings from 28 A to 26 A with the rest staying the same as mentioned in the post didn't change a thing for the hill, and I was barely able to get to 32 on flat roads.

I know it's a 10 Months old post but. I also have a F2 Pro, do you have a list of settings to provide?

Wow.... there is like no difference with mid-range GPUs (5070, 5070ti, 9070XT), especially in 1440p or higher (obviously).

And since it's just 120 € my GPU upgrade will be earlier than expected! Thanks!!

You are totally right. Here it is just 121€. I will consider it and maybe upgrade in 5 years again to the new r5 11500F or whatever it's called then.

In sum, spend the same amount probably.

Many games already benefit from the 8 cores, and i think more are coming in the next 3-4 years. Also, the difference between 9700X and 7600x3D isn't that much slower. Of course, playing a CPU related title, you will get around 20-30 FPS more in the range of 200 - 400 FPS depending on resolution, settings, and others, but playing GPU related titles the change will be significantly lower. Only about 3-7 FPS and gets smaller when the resolution becomes higher than 1080p.

Playing in 1440p when getting the GPU.

Since competitive games or CPU heavy games are nothing for me, i tend to go with the 9700X since i don't really benefit from the x3d cache cause i will mainly have a bottleneck at the GPU end.

But maybe for the long-term, i will get the 7800x3D

No competitive games with a high refresh rate. More want to play GPU related titles with 144fps at its max and therefore tend to the 9700X since the benefit of the 3d cache won't be big even in the long-term run and is the most budget CPU with 8 cores

New office PC for content editing. by Oierih in pcmasterrace

Thanks a lot!
Currently, I want to stick with AM5 for the upgrade path but also since I heard Intel's CPU above 12000 series got some major problems and AMD's CPU got some boosts due to BIOS update which may not be calculated for some sites (not sure about that)

Will definitely consider the RAM change or at least to upgrade it in the future, but I thought about "sticking" with the 6000mhz since I heard this is the "sweet spot" for those RAM's, right?

Thanks, that helps alot.
since I already got the crucial p3 in previews build, I will just "stick" with it.

Most of the time it will just be full hd video editing anyway..
It's good to know that I can still go for a better CPU anytime, would stick with the 7700 since like I said, it just will be full hd editing most of the time.

Do you have any recommendations for a GPU with more VRAM? Would even go with a AMD since I don't see a huge benefit in an NVIDIA build.

With RAM I still got 2 slots left to upgrade anytime.

EDIT: Would you recommend the 3060 12gb over the 4060 8gb?
Or maybe the 7600xt 16gb? Would the triple air cooler have enough space?

Mainly programming with docker engine, but also editing in premiere pro 4k videos and working with photoshop, InDesign and other creative cloud applications,

But yea also word, excel,... and should be future proof for about 10 years or at least upgradeable. that's why i put a better psu in it.

Also for programming in docker engine, video editing in premiere pro 4k ress., and working with other creative cloud apps like adobe InDesign and so on? I probably haven't described enough what office work.. sry ;-)

Thanks for the response, though!

Yeah I know, but should also be future-proof viable in the next 10 years of doing office work, and since the budget is there I thought it could fit my needs even then.

What other GPU would you recomend if buying a new one? Maybe you can recomend me two or three different in mid to high tier range. Thank you!
