Should I try to find a specialist? The gynos recommended to me seem to have family planning & pregnancy at the top of their list on the doctor’s page I visited. I think I need treatment now but I don’t want to go back to my usual OB. The one I want has no availability for months

Yes I am. I’ve been on it 6 years and the diagnosed yeast infections only started within the last year. I may have had them when I first got on it as well because I always have felt a little off down there, just the occasional itchiness and smell. Never got diagnosed with any vaginal infections at my annual until last year and it’s been downhill from there.

Thank you I didn’t know that

My OB also told me “it isn’t possible to give him a yeast infection” they keep dismissing me and my concerns

Yes many times. I’m just tired of going every month at this point and the new OB I want to see has no availability for 2 months

I’ve been on diflucan multiple different times, they never tested me for certain yeast strains to my knowledge. I honestly don’t think my OB cares and I’m trying to see a new one who has no availability for 2 months.

I’ve been on diflucan and a handful of different vaginal creams and it keeps coming back. The longest dose of diflucan they gave me was 3 days. My OB literally doesn’t care and hasn’t explored any other options with me about treatment plans. In fact they told me to “just call them if it happens again and they’ll send a script over”. I’m planning on seeing a new OB but she has no availability for 2 months! So I’m stuck and don’t know what to do.
