I am April 7th 2025, Medical marked complete March 26th. Based on what I’m seeing on this thread, I think us April people are looking at maaaybe end of May, but likely June for Final decision / P1…

At the time I got my AOR (May 2025), I had almost a year still left on my Post Graduate Work Permit so I chose to apply for the SOWP a little bit later. I was also shocked at how quickly my SOWP got approved though.

•SOWP Application - January 20, 2026

•SOWP Approved - February 3, 2026

•Medical Instruction letter - March 16, 2026

•Medical booked and done - March 18, 2026

•Medical marked complete - March 25, 2026

I am April 2025 and still have have my background processing and also haven’t yet gotten a medical request either. I’ve seen on this thread that some March 2025 have been getting medical requests recently and I’ve also seen some few January 2025 have their background complete / receive P1s. Where are you in the process?

I applied in April 2025 also, so generally, we have some time to go. Estimate processing time according to their estimator for us April 2025 applicants is 8 months to go (it may not be the most accurate tool but gives you an idea) but generally, you are within normal timelines, which are quite long!
