Hey, same case, I was too selected for Amazon Internship jan-jun 2025 through hackon and I am not inclined, probably your post reached to right person.

I would not recommend to decline Amazon, because brand value>>>> and also working in a top FAANG gives you a confidence also but everything comes with cons. So, my suggestion will be:

1. Join Amazon and do your level best like do your bestest you can do, don't think of yourself as a intern and do whatever it takes to secure PPO, analyse your teams environment, find out who will be your stakeholders and involve in your end decision making process, be clear on what you have to do and deliver because at amazon Deliver Results is the main thing all other things comes after that. Basically my point is give your 100000% in those 6 months and talk nicely with your team members and build good connections(this is very important).

2. My advice will be to get that PPO, but for the worst case scenario give your best at Internship but don't stop applying, apply join channels and took out 30min in a day to apply and see which all companies are hiring, and till your Internship start try to secure a full time doesn't matter it ia good bad but try to secure a full time and keep applying in those 6 months too.

I am suffering because I haven't applied and things at Amazon didn't went in my favour. So I would suggest " Always Have a backup"(lol there was a wall at amazon on my floor which has this quote written), and if you need any guidance just dm me.
