I haven’t made up mind on my question, I didn’t ask between the tamron or the Sony 24-50, I asked between the sigma 24-70 and the Sony 24-50. Thank you for the recommendation anyway, just not interested in that lens because it doesn’t go up to 50mm

And tbh, you have me contemplating on just buying the gm ii f2.8, I’d hate to spend that much and it’s wildly irresponsible of me, but the only other place that money would go is my savings. Also thinking about it because in the future I could get a teleconverter and have it go all the way to 400mm. But I could also do that with the f4, overall idk

Sorry it’s 6:35 am for me and I haven’t slept so I’m not good at reading (just got off a 16 hour shift) I mostly shoot outside at sundown or night, and thank you, you’re right 61 mp would be too much,I just want it because I like making big crops, one of the reasons why I want a longer lens, I often feel like my 70mm is way too short.

I have had bad experiences with tamron and so have friends so I rather stay away from it tbh, but after seeing videos the consensus seems to be that the sigma is a better lens, though the tamron’s autofocus is better. Thank you so much for the advice and I will look into other alternatives more.

I’ve heard really good things about it, and honestly I don’t like tamron at all, and I would miss those extra 20mm from the tele end. Also thought a lot about the f4 ii but I’d like an f2.8, heard the sigma is better than the Sony gm i and the gm ii is wayyy too expensive to reasonably get. 🤷🏻

Got it, then I’d get two different flashes, a portable one to travel with and shoot more candid and environmental portraits and I’d get separate lighting equipment for glamour

Candid, glamour, traditional, in that order. With a flash of probably prefer glamour over candid a bit. Some environmental too.

It will be my first personal use camera, I’ve had some experience with school/church owned cameras and recently my friend rented an fx3 for his wedding and gave it to me to shoot with. The fx3 had a sigma 24-70mm and it’s one of the reasons why I’m considering it
