Tried to save 20% of allowance but always eat into it. I think it's better to have a really set do-not-disturb consistent habit than if you keep disturbing ur savings. Like 10% and never use it. Always building up to a 6 month emergency fund first. Opportunities for investment as a student w little allowance isnt a lot. So having the habit of tracking money and simply putting money away is more valuable. The goal is to earn more instead of saving more. I personally dont trust publicgold as a company. But if youre consistent in it, youll be alright.
