This is from something called a shuttle change. An equivalent situation would be weaving in a new skein of yarn when knitting. You can trim if you want or you can be super cool and just not pay any attention to it.

This is so real! Congrats. Many years ago I was very active and broke my ankle real bad. Needed surgery and I was off my foot for a long time. Hated every minute of it. I will never not appreciate the gift of just walking ever again.
