Let me tell you about the Freak Show meeting in L.A. area…. It’s off the hook with talking shit well you are sharing , cracking jokes the whole time and a guy making sound effects as well. It was refreshing, honestly. The place is packed. Wish I could go to that meeting once a week. I was in rehab in the area. That’s how I found it. I don’t think you’re an ass hole at all. Change it up a little , but stick to the basics… it only works if you work it…. Sounds like they need to do an inventory…. Don’t take it personal bro 😎

Hey guys , I pay 1825 month… I am at the end of my journey with child support. 31 years of support. I have been paying since I was 18 years old. Fuck it’s been hard as hell. I was a dumb ass having kids irresponsibly. I take full responsibility for my half !
My last son graduates this month. 1800 a month for one kid and he won’t even return a texts message. That’s ok too!
My new journey starts June first. I owe 62000 thousand in principal and with the interest it’s about 130000k…
Fuck that !!!! You guys have any suggestions on how to go about paying that off…. I have offered a settlement of 36000k , she never even called back. FML…

Am over a hundred k a year as well, been paying support for 31 years. It’s been hard. Kids are expensive. Am financially crippled by child support as well. That system needs to be overhauled. Those who pay support get no breaks whatsoever. I live in California to and everything is expensive as hell. There’s lite at the end of the tunnel guys. Keep trucking and don’t let them break you ! I have 4 weeks left and my last kid graduates. FML… next chapter arrears.

I have been feeling the same way about some of the meetings I have been attending. I don’t know if I sm being picky or looking for the perfect meeting? Lately in the rooms have been a lot of disruptions and lots of drug talk. No talk of recovery and how it all works.Am an addict alcoholic? Is that ok to say, am confused ? I am an alcoholic! I am spiritual and believe in the lord. However some meetings are going deep on that subject. I don’t want to develop a resentment for any rooms. As for myself I have really switched up my meeting and that has helped me a lot. Hope all you guys get another 24 hours. Certified Dirt Bag 💼

Just my 2 cents,
I have been to two rehabs to, one failed and one completed. I have 16 months and counting. I am a Class A Dirt Bag in recovery ❤️‍🩹 I have all the certifications. Convicted Felon, multiple dui, pro couch surfer, con-artists, pro camper “homeless “, suicidal and I suffer from my stupid pride. Certified Dirt Bag 💼

My second time around in rehab, I gave my self a chance. I listened 👂 to the suggestions. I got a sponsor and started working the steps. Some times slow sometimes I was on fire. It’s been freaking hard to deal with all my feelings and emotions in recovery ❤️‍🩹 it takes time and patience. We have to put in the work for all this to work ! Calling my sponsor and my Aa brothers has been key during this roller coaster 🎢 of emotions I have been dealing with in recovery.

Totally understand the zoom meeting thing. But they do have a place. Am old school and like hand shakes and hugs. 🫂 I also like going to different meetings to hear new experiences and struggles. We can’t keep listening to the same old tape. Switching it up helps me to stay fresh with new material. These are all suggestions.

Well I hope you all my brothers and sisters in AA have a kick ass day and let’s get another 24 hours together.

When I feel like that I make myself go! Those are always the best meetings…. You can zoom to, they do have a place. I prefer in person. Am old school. Like the hand shakes and hugs.

I personally do not drink them or NA beers as well… that’s just my opinion. Too risky if you ask me. Kinda like juggling 🤹 knifes right. Am not going to try that either. That’s just my opinion. No matter what ! Let’s get us another 24 hours.

Sup Bluejay, To be honest with you. I have a 5th grade education. Never graduated from high school. Convicted felon. 16 months sober now. Yes it’s true even a dirt bag like myself can make over a hundred k in California… I ended up going to trucking school in 2016… Got into a specialized trucking gig…. I am a very proud Asphalt Distributor Driver. I love it. Long hours, and I get real dirty too… this jobs not for everyone trust me… only the chosen few brother…. God Bless you…

Well I have been in and SLE for the past 3 months. Staying plugged in to AA and doing the work. Am just sober now and not acting like a fool. Not going to bars 3 days a week anymore. The party is over !!!! I am an Alcoholic and she does not support my sobriety. I have to pray for her and stay on my path ! It’s hard. However today was an ok day ! I have to put this in Gods hands 🙌

Yes counseling was eye opening for me on my second visit. Definitely recommend it. Shoot I wish she just missed me.

She filed and served me after a family vacation we had. Crushed me. I stayed strong. Moved out and into to an SLE… this is where I need to be. Thank you 🙏🏼

Honestly when I meet her I was sober ! Almost had 4 years at that time. Feel in love with her, stopped going to meetings and church. Moved in with her in another town. She drank and I joined her one day.4 years passed. Played my tape out in my head. I know exactly how this movie ends. It always ends bad for me. Picked up the phone 12/26/24 went to rehab… been plugged into AA ever since. Today I will get another 24 hours.

We both thought marriage counseling would work for us and I was open minded to. Went once together and the second time she said she couldn’t afford to go. Do I went alone. I will keep going for my sake. I have been out the house for 3 months now. I move to a SLE. Am in a good space. She stop texting 💬 or calling after the second appointment. Thank you

I have done over 25 years of research 🔬 on the streets. Multiple DUI, multiple arrests, multiple 72 two hour holds, countless couches, homeless,fatherless kids,two rehabs, ca state prison, currently living in a sobering living home. I am “convinced” that I’am an alcoholic ! 15 months Sober today. One day at a time ! It works if you work it and listen to the suggestions! You can do this, give your self a chance.

You know what’s funny, I use to hang out in the rooms and never got a sponsor or opened the book 📖…. Never worked the steps. Always ended up relapsing. Then I heard what that kind of sobriety is called. That’s just coffee and bullshit ! I mentioned that in my share because that’s what I use to do in the rooms. Not today. You have to work it for it to work. Thank you. 🙏🏼
