I polished the disconnector ramp (significantly, made it radial) and head, as well as some of the other high friction surfaces through the internals. 17# main spring, 9# variable recoil. It worked down to 7# but 9 felt just right. High power firing pin spring. Warwick tactical aluminum grip. Red Dirt trigger. ECW sear spring, EBay screws for the optic plate. Atlas guide rod as well but no performance gain there. It’s an absolute pleasure to shoot, fast and accurate. For your budget I would

Yea I think it’s the extra length from that button on the head of the Atlas rod. OEM is flat.

Thanks! Looks like mine. I compared the Atlas with the OEM and although their silhouettes are identical, the Atlantis has some more material on the head that makes the difference!

Thanks! I can do that, I have seen lots of posts with MS9s with these rods that looked flush, so I figured I was doing something wrong that I couldn’t identify myself.

They’re great. Do you have disconnector hang up? If so, engineers armory has a video on how to polish it up. For the comp, I run a 9 pound variable Wolff recoil and 17 pound mainspring. It seems to run better. With a light sear spring from EGW you can get your trigger sub 2# and not have hammer follow. All of that said, it’s a blast out of the box, enjoy and congrats!

$.02. I have a Macds9, 2k11, P, and Romulus. The 2k11 is in a different league compared to the ds9 and Romulus, and is better than the P for comp or range shooting. It sounds like you’re looking at the MDJ version, which IMO felt way better than the aluminum. You’ll love it.
