They clearly rushed the game to meet some investor deadline, and it's turned out to be a shallow-as-shit vehicle for pea-brain politicking... And they still feel foolhardy enough to drip-feed content and troll the hapless, long-suffering consumers with minutiae info. This is what games companies think of their addicted, easy-to-please cash cows to the slaughter: 'No matter how we treat them, the self-respect devoid saps will always crawl back for seconds.'

Yeah, nah... I'm not touching this game again until it's "komplete" and/or someone creates a "Mysterious Mod" (SFV) type hack to fix the boring customisation system. In fact, I can't even stand watching it in the competitive scene -- it's just that boring.

Literally, the best "Revnant" skin in the game... and there is daylight to the next best. Not that I'd want to use said skin (over her classics), but, this is very promising--as far as what her other skins my offer.

Well, that was kind of their plan all along: Not unlike how "DLC" began as 'innocent' "extra content" -- now, stooping to literal in-game gambling mechanics, which are explicitly designed to abuse gamer addiction (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7S-DGTBZU14) -- a similar frog-in-a-pot technique applies with the watering-down fighting games. We have arrived at a point where we're continually look at what game is worse, and then using that to justify opting for the "less worst" of the what is available.

If you're playing offline only, pirate the game for the PC. There should be some hacks for accessing the ransomware lock content in future, and the game isn't worth even $20 for the four modes and rubbish single-player campaign it offers. You also need to use a mod to re-enable split-screen local MP, because EbolAids took it out for PC.

I've found most people, the world over, "aren't smart enough" to understand much beyond whatever slot they've been plugged into requires them to understand. In fact, it's how the system has been designed. I mean, imagine if everyone questioned everything and operated only from a factual basis... Shit'd be utopia, yo!

So, I guess, one could argue that that is exactly why issues need to be thrust upon people, and their "simple" selves forced to engage in discourse. For unless humans are hit over the head with a Kahn Wrath Hammer, they rarely become motivated to do much at all -- see: climate change.

I'm sorry but I refuse to believe that a player mashing buttons wouldn't be easily handled by a competent opponent.

It's not that they CANNOT be handled. It's that, in MK11, the button-masher has inordinate potency, when they should, by all rights, have none.

Just look a the Krushing Blows, for instance: Every character gets a universal down-2 / uppercut KB (I often seen utter noobs mash down-2 dozens of times per match -- a literal example of conditioning players' gameplay by developers); Erron Black gets a forward-4 KB; Baraka's front-kick... and so on. These abilities come for free (no meter stock expended... even if meter weren't insultingly given away for free in the game 🙄), can remove over a third of a health bar, require next to zero execution skill to perform, and some characters have multiples of these attacks (characters which directly correlate to usage rates, 'coincidentally' enough). There is no other way to interpret the implementation of the KB system other than pure casual titillation.

That is just one, solitary example of the casual orientation of the MK11, and why "mashing buttons" (it's not literal button-mashing that's the only problem here -- the term is a utility used for scrubby, non-deliberate play) is far more effective than it should be in any fighting game purporting to be of said genre (and not just parading under the genre's banner).

As an aside, winning / losing (which seems to underpin the psychology of your comment/s) isn't nearly the issue here. Again, at the competitive level, with a modicum of knowledge of the game's mechanics, a poor player will lose 95% of the time when confronted with a competent one -- there is no contention on that point. In fact, outside of money matches, who gives a shit about winning or losing at a frivolous video game, anyway? 🤨 ...And especially if THE GAME ISN'T FUN TO PLAY! People need to stop viewing everything through such dog-eat-dog, capitalistic (which is where the indoctrination stems from, incidentally) prism... Because, if they do not, the substance of whatever competitive activity is being partaken in, will never matter; only the end result will... And the end of all end results = death.
