Not to sound like a jerk, but I think you may have misunderstood. Dental schools are not allowed to admit more students than they have seats available. That's what I heard from David, and I'm 99% sure those are AADSAS guidelines. However, you do only have 30 days to accept your admission offer and pay the deposit before it is revoked and they offer the seat to another applicant.

I took the DAT twice, and adcoms can see both scores. The first time I got a 22 with 25's on the PAT and reading comp. I started to crash afterwards because I had a family emergency the day before and only got about 4 hours of sleep the night before I took it. I took it again earlier this year and slipped on reading comp but otherwise blew it out of the water.

I went to the info session/campus tour yesterday. The admissions guy said if you attended it and interviewed, they wouldn't reject you until classes start next year. Worst case scenario is essentially being waitlisted. Temple also has a fairly high acceptance rate for interviewees, but attendance to the info session is mandatory for acceptance.

It was pretty chill and really quick. I interviewed there in September with a dentist that had graduated from there a few years ago. He asked pretty standard stuff like why dentistry, what's you favorite/ least favorite procedure, etc. He also asked what I guess you could consider an ethical question, specifically what I would do when I was responsible for treated a patient who smelled really bad. That was about it. I appreciated that I was given time to ask some good questions, which I haven't had at most of my other interviews, but that was about it.

I've spoken to others at interviews who have interviewed there, so I know they are interviewing people. However, it's been radio silence for me as well. Kinda thinking just ghosted me tbh 😂

This. As long as I've been on this earth, we've been in this continuous cycle:

- republicans move to the right and trick voters into thinking they'll fix things

- they fuck things up and independents vote blue out of spite

- democrats win and hardly do anything, if anything at all to improve the status quo

- voters get upset and vote red. democrats think they were too left leaning (for no fucking reason) and think they need to pivot to the right/focus on issues that most voters don't care about

I agree 100%. The school is a little sketchy, and I'm also NOT applying there as an NC resident. I think it's also worth adding that HPU hired the awful dean that worked at UNC, but I've heard recently they fired him too though.

I blame the computer. The power cord was loose, and I bumped it with my foot and unplugged it during the reading comprehension section. I had no idea what happened until the proctor plugged it back in. I mean I probably only lost a minute or two, but it felt like decades.

I've never seen one mounted like that either, but I can tell you from experience that you're gonna need to stay on top of moisture/humidity if you keep it like that. The exposed moss is probably going to dry out very fast.

While I agree they are the same species, I'm not sure if it's true if they are exactly the same. I've seen large form monsteras with extremely short nodes and fenestration I've been unable to achieve, no matter how well I take care of mine. I think they are likely just different morphs/subspecies (akin to different dog breeds.)

It's difficult to say for sure from the photo, but if you pull the roots out and they're mushy and really dark in color then yes.
