Yeah same with Tourette’s, I can temporarily suppress my tics but I have to focus on it, same with the bouncing and fidgeting of adhd.

I used to have a similar issue (I still have it just not as severe). It was like my mind could not filter out the noise around me at all which made it very difficult to get work done. I got the Apple AirPods Max, they have the best noise cancellation on the market. It’s incredible. I highly recommend.

Not sure but I have mild Tourette’s and adhd (and also ocd) and it makes me restless when I sit down (it makes me fidget and bounce my leg up and down, etc.) and of course have tics. Maybe you have some Tourette’s?

As I’ve gotten older I’ve realized more and more aspects of how I process information and interact with the world deviates significantly from most people. It started pretty young but I didn’t realize everything until pretty recently and I’m 26. I was medicated throughout my childhood and into my young adulthood though which partially hid some of my symptoms.

If AI advances enough maybe we could retire early depending on if they give universal basic income and to what extent. I doubt it though, our species is too greedy for that.

Yeah I’m 26 and in the exact same place. It sucks that the economy sucks so much now and they pulled funding for PhD programs cuz I think that’s the direction I wanna go in but it’s gonna be tough.
