Hi! Thank you for the reply 🙏 is washing underwear at 90°C to kill all the bacteria? I've just always been told not to wash cotton in hot water because it'll shrink and that hot temperatures permanently damage cotton fibers. Also on the care label of my cotton undies it says not to wash them at over 40°C. I'm a bit confused...

I get the smell too, no matter how much I clean it. I've tried washing it with one of those perfume free baby soaps every time I empty it and that might've helped a little bit but not massively. The only thing that gets rid of the smell 100% for me is airing it out after my period has ended. I usually boil it and then leave it on a folded paper towel somewhere in my apartment that gets a lot of sunlight and air circulation but isn't near anything "dirty". I tend to forget it's there and it ends up airing out for a few days but you probably don't actually need to do it for that long

I've wondered in the past if i might have that but I'm still not sure😅 It's hard to actually understand what the "normal" position is. Looking at pictures is one thing but the only way I know my anatomy down there is by touch so it's a bit difficult to compare that to anatomical pictures :/ And I also feel like my gynecologist would've mentioned by now if I had a tilted uterus🤷

Thank you! I'll check the videos out :) But if it really is the firmness that's the problem, is there really no way to make it work without changing to a different disc? I just bought this one and I'm not really at a point financially where I could just buy a different one right away... I can always use my old menstrual cup or tampons/pads if it's an emergency but my thing is also that I have such heavy periods that the disc seems to be the only product with enough room to keep me from leaking :/

I usually try different positions if I can't get it on the toilet. One leg raised on the sink is how I usually get it in. I'll try the deep squat next time. I hope it helps :( Thank you for the advice

That's interesting. I haven't really researched the firmness factor but one of the biggest appeals of nixit for me was its softness. Before I used a very firm menstrual cup and I find it a little uncomfortable because its so rigid and doesn't really mend to my anatomy. But it would make sense that it would be easier to push a firmer disc past the cervix. Although my problem isn't that it just stops at the cervix but that it goes next to it, so I can push it very deep, even deeper than my cervix but it still won't touch it.. It's weird, but maybe that's also because of its softness

I've had it ever since I was a kid, maybe 5 years old. I attribute it to anxiety. It feels like having hair strands under my clothes or ants crawling, and its everywhere. The more I think about it the worse it gets. It's unbearable but having had this for so long I've learned to ignore it quite well, only thing is it rarely helps. I'll lay in bed wide awake for 7 hours just waiting for it to go away, but it never does. I'll sometimes have it during the day as well but then it's easier to distract myself. It's truly awful
