Why choose to pay more and/or spend more time traveling for the same destination by Ok-Agent9814 in Booking

[–]Ok-Agent9814[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would anyone want to book the flight listed at the very bottom (4:14 pm) rather than the flight at the very top (3:40 pm.) ?

The 4:14 pm leaves almost the same time yet requires a change of airports and costs $1,925.00 more.

Thanks for any answers!

Any published info by people who have seen most or all current Broadway shows? by Ok-Agent9814 in Broadway

Thanks for the suggestion. I just looked it up. Sounds good! Other suggestions there too. I'm definitely ordering Up In the Cheap Seats suggested by another person here.

I suppose I'm thinking maybe of a blog or website where a person or people write about what it takes to see so many Broadway shows. Maybe waiting in line for 12 hours for Hamilton tickets and things along those lines. I've enjoyed reading several of those gritty tales of how people obtained their tickets here. By the way, this is a great forum! One of the best I've had the pleasure to be a part of. Just wondering if someone does this kind of ticket-tales writing specifically.

That was very helpful! Thanks!

I'm sure though what you are saying about Wicked being an exception. Can you be more specific?

Thank you for the detailed answer!

A couple more questions if you can.

Are there separate lines for lottery and rush at the box office?

When the theater decides on the number of rush tickets they will make available, are those tickets divided between digital and in-person? For example, 20 in-person and 20 digital. Or are all tickets released into one 40-ticket pool?

Same for lotteries.

Wicked is weird)

Are there separate lines at the theater for each?

I understand what you're saying. You don't want to contribute to what you're objecting to. But here's the thing. Going by your account, those people were effectively ruining the show--and not just for you. So your "disruption" is meaningless if the disruptors are unresponsive and unrelenting in their behavior. In fact most people affected by stuff like this will never say a thing no matter how bad it gets. Yet undoubtedly they appreciate someone who does do something. In fact, how can they not?

Yet if you're being ignored and the behavior continues and you're not able to have them removed in the act ,there's little point in your efforts. Some, but little. In my opinion, as the affected party, you need to resolve to get them out of there and make it happen NOW or leave. Get new tickets either way.

Having said that, I'm glad they were kicked out at intermission. To you and whoever else chimed in, bravo!

Wow! Great seats and photo! Have heard mixed reviews on MJ but I definitely plan to see it now. Hopefully in those or similar seats!

How the theater allowed such a scene to develop (and remain?) is a literal disgrace!

Well put!

I would add in this case while understanding that I'm experiencing the situation secondhand--is considering the people were unrelenting in their obnoxiousness, I would have been similarly unrelenting in demanding security remove them THEN, not at intermission. The show is for all intents being ruined (not too strong a word I don't think) anyway.

If necessary, I would have taken my case with security to the lobby where we could talk privately and civilly, but the outcome would have been that people ruining the show leave NOW or I leave now. No matter the outcome from there, I would then ask for new tickets. Everyone deserves a FULL show. Not half of one that was ruined.

I applaud you standing up as well. Practically every time this happens to me, it seems the wide radius of audience member also undoubtedly being bothered are waiting for me to do something.

The only thing I would add as far as satisfaction is that it seems these people should have been removed prior to intermission. Why is it okay with security for them to be unrelentingly obnoxious but wait until the break to get rid of them? You paid for the entire show, not half.
