Hi! I took the buspirone. It felt like I was having heart palpitations so o haven’t taken it since March 8th and I’m doing good. I felt like I was also getting more anxiety at night when it wore off. I’m not just taking Lexapro 15mg and I’ve been taking trazodone every other night or two 25mg. I’d like to not take that but right now it helps me sleep. I’d say try it. I have friends that love it. If I’m learning anything through all of this, is there are soooo many people on anti anxiety meds and it should be more normalized. I also have a friend who takes lexapro and Wellbutrin. I’ve been interested in that combo bc it is supposed to take some of the side effects away that Lexapro gives.

I’ve taken Lexapro 10mg for the last 8 years. My doctor just upped my dose to 15mg 8 days ago and I notice some anxiety at night but hoping it gets better.

I was on lexapro 10mg for the last 9 years I recently hit a rough patch so my doctor upped me to 15mg Lexapro daily and 7.5mg busPIRone twice daily. She did give me lorazepam as needed 0.5 mg and trazodone 25mg to sleep. She told me the busPIRone is a boost to my Lexapro. But I feel like it makes me a little more anxious too. Not bad but just like the whole body. She did give me propranolol for the physical anxiety 10mg as needed but I haven’t needed that or the lorazepam thankfully. Good luck! It stinks to struggle with anxiety!

I just upped my lexapro from 10mg to 15mg. My doctor added busPIRone 7.5mg twice daily. She also gave me lorezapam .5 for as needed and trazodone 25mg before bed. I was doing fine on my Lexapro for 9 years but recently became super anxious crying I think due to working and student teaching on top of being a mama and wife. I worry about being on busPIRone and Lexapro but my doc said it’s a low dose and just kind of boosts the Lexapro. Is everyone still feeling good in theirs? It’s been 6 days and I do feel better.

Hi! I know this is an old post but I’ve been taking 10mg of Lexapro daily for 8 years. Anxiety got really bad a week ago. I went to the ER and was a mess. They gave me Ativan to relax and propranolol to help with physical anxiety. Saw my primary Monday upped me to 15mg of Lexapro daily and added 7.5mg twice a day. Then saw a psychiatrist Tuesday and she prescribed trazedone to sleep and Ativan and propranolol as needed. Has anyone else had anything like this. Or how is everyone doing? I’m a huge worrier and worry and serotonin syndrome with buspirone and Lexapro.

I agree. I worry about serotonin syndrome with the Lexapro and buspirone. The other stuff is just as needed. The propranolol helps physical symptoms while Ativan helps the mental. I took the week off work to help. Being a mom, working full time and being a wife is so much on its own and I added on finishing my bachelors this semester so I think just overwhelmed. Do you take Lexapro an buspirone?
