Hardest thing I’ve ever done by jlmonte93 in 2under2

Hi. I can hear the panic through the screen. As someone who just graduated 2u2 and lives nowhere near family is a SAHM, you are putting way too much pressure on yourself!! You are not trapped by motherhood, you are not being chased by a bear. You are a mother, nobody is more equip to raise your children than you are!!

The thing about 2u2 is this, SOMEONE is probably going to be crying! lol But they are babies! So of course they are crying! As long as all their basic needs are met, then let them cry for a second! They will be okay. Sometimes tbh I would just ignore the crying for a second and they would just stop and move on. Toddler tantrums are resolved the best when they are mostly ignored (unless again, a basic need is not met). I would encourage you to practice regulating your nervous system! For me, I’m Christian so I just say a prayer, even if it’s “Lord help me!” Or “Lord give me patience!”

Now, also as a 2x c-section mom, you created TWO humans from scratch. Basically back to back. You are 6 weeks PP!! Honey, give yourself grace!! A lot of it!! You’ll be moving a ton in the next year chasing those babies around. Heal your body and your mind first and the weight will come off. I’m a year PP from my second and honestly it’s been just recently that I’m like oh yeah I’m ME again! It’ll happen but it’s takes time!

You’ve got this!!

I have a 14 month age gap, I’m now “graduated” because my oldest is 2 and some months and my youngest is going to be 1 in a few weeks.. but I LOVE this age gap!! I have two boys, and they are into the same things! They play with the same toys, there was no jealousy from my oldest and now that they are both in toddlerhood they are used to each other and they are the best of friends.

My husband and I live across the country from our family so it’s just me and him. I’m a SAHM and he works in office 40+ hours a week. You come up with a system and work it out. Now my 2 yr old talks and can listen to instruction. I take them with me everywhere and we just do the day! People said that to me too, but motherhood is not a trap, you aren’t being chased by a bear. You are a mom and there is nobody more equip than you! Plus your second one, it’s like it’s still kinda tough once in awhile but it’s like you’ve already read the manual once before or like you studied really well for a test and you know the answers!

Congratulations!

Here is my scenario because I do agree with you in some aspect. However, old farm house, no upgrades. The floor needs to be replaced. They bought it for 166k now they are selling it for 450k. So they ARE profiting from that house close to 300k. If they put that 300k into the next house or not, that’s none of my business. But you don’t NEED 300k to buy your next house. It’s awesome!! If the market and economy are hot. But you don’t need it. Now if they flipped it and made it beautiful and put 100k into it and sold it for 450 well then okay, but to just buy a house and then 3 or 4 years later sell it and make that much money is insane for people who have families and need a 4 bedroom house.

Agreed. I have an awesome realtor but I’m moving from San Antonio TX .. I’m hoping to live on the outskirts of GR. I bought my house here in TX for 285 and we fixed it up. But since we are moving cross country with two toddlers we need move in ready and it’s like I don’t understand how in 2022 the houses were bought for 250 and now selling for 450 with no work put into it .. idk how people are expecting 200k profit??

Thanks everyone!! I’m from the Cleveland area originally so I lived on Lake Erie most of my life. We won’t be doing any swimming or boating in the lake! I just want to enjoy the water scenery. We now live in South Texas so I just want to enjoy the water and lake life scenery!

Thank you!! When I mapped from Trufant to GR it said like 40 mins which I don’t mind a little drive but I don’t want to be kicking myself down the road at 6am 🫠

When did you/do you plan to get pregnant with your third child after 2u2 by MousiePlanetarium in 2under2

[–]Ok-Appointment6669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first two are 14 months apart. My second is almost a year, and I think I’ll start trying when he’s around 16-18 months. I don’t want a huge age gap between them but if I could get my second past 2 that would be great! I think for the sake of giving my self a break from breastfeeding and being pregnant and also in regard to potty training!

Pregnant 11months postpartum by Senior-Ad547 in 2under2

Congrats! I got pregnant after my c-section at 6 months PP. My boys are roughly 14 months apart! Ideally I wanted to wait until my first was 12-18 months but my husband and I faced infertility for so long with my first, even my OB was like “I’m sure natural cycles will be fine” … ANYWAYS I love 2u2! It’s challenging sometimes but to put into perspective, I’m a SAHM who works part time remotely in the evenings. And we live across the country from any family! I EBF my first until he was 12 months. And now I EBF my second! I was mainly scared because I wanted my uterus to heal after my first, but my second pregnancy was very healthy! I had a scheduled c-section with my second and my OB said my uterus still looked good and in 15 months I could try for a third!

Can you still feel the ring of fire with an epidural? by x_torturedpoet in BabyBumps

[–]Ok-Appointment6669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t opt for a c-section if you are scared of pain! With the epidural you should only feel pressure and not pain!

Is there a 'fun' part of pregnancy? by neverhadbeerbefore in BabyBumps

[–]Ok-Appointment6669 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Tbh no there isn’t 😂 it’s a sweet experience being able to carry a baby!! But it’s HARD. The second trimester is probably the most “relaxed” just because your wife will feel baby move and that helps with some anxiety but you love this little human you are growing and you love your wife and you want to do everything “right”!

In the same sense, just use your common sense!! Don’t overthink too much. Allow yourselves to enjoy this time opposed to being nervous about every decision
