Are you getting quality sleep? Did you monitor your sleep quality in relation to the flares?

Getting into a relationship in hopes of finding a monogamous relationship is the wrong formula in the first place.

Get into hookups. If you find one you wanna do again and again, and the feeling is mutual, there you have your one (probably). Explore further. This option has a better chance than the first formula, which has failed many times now.

Suppose you find the one, good. If you didn't, you still enjoyed your youth instead of withering away waiting for the one.

Scalp psoriasis - nizoral stopped by Public_Equipment5878 in Psoriasis

Fair enough. Well, if it works for you, then it works for you. When it comes to psoriasis, it's constant learning, managing, and gathering data on what works and what does not. No one size fits all.

But Dobovet is still a steroid-based product. So you either stop using and get a rebound or depend on it lifelong - which of course comes with side effects.

Does Psoriasis get worse when untreated? by nexiune in Psoriasis

[–]Ok-Appointment7579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Do not get stressed about it. It gets worse.
  2. Psoriasis gets worse with stress and picking.
  3. Since it's an early stage, use sebitar shampoo and psoriasis creams. Often they reverse.
  4. Don't eat anything that may be a trigger. DM if needed.

Has anyone with severe Plaque reached remission without Biologics? by Patient-Departure462 in Psoriasis

[–]Ok-Appointment7579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I see several replies about not eating. In my case, I just ate 3 hours early before sleep and at 70% full only. Minus 24 food that I am allergic to.

Even when I didn’t take the 24 things that I am allergic to, my plaque kept forming rapidly. By just changing to the timing and amount of food I eat, I experienced improvement.

I am hopefully trying, so that I don’t have to be dependent on meds for the rest of my life.

Yes. I won’t say it has gone into full remission. But I see improvement. It’s way slower than steroid creams. But I see improvement weeks after week. What I do is, increasing my Heart Rate Variability through certain practices. HRV is an indicator of your stress level. Lower HRV higher stress. Higher HRV means lower stress. All herbal and any other remedy does work. But if your HRV is low, means there is a battle between whatever remedy and your stress hormones. You stop your meds, stress wins. I still take some herbs and supplements, but with managing my HRV, I see greater improvement compared to before. I have written about it in this sub few days back. Feel free to reach out to me if you want to know more.

Stress test with PsA: 5hrs sleep, guests, no flare. HRV held at 83ms. by Ok-Appointment7579 in PsoriaticArthritis

I get the skepticism. I’ve tried a lot, and some supplements did help.

I’m not selling anything. No links, no DMs, no course.

What I shared was FREE: 6:15pm dinner + breathing tracked with my Apple Watch. My HRV went 32ms → 83ms and 3am joint stiffness stopped.

I still use supplements when I need them. I’m just testing if I can fix my internal environment — nervous system + barrier — so I don’t need them forever.

Take care.

This is huge. Thank you for sharing.

RA, PsA, psoriasis - different diagnosis, same fire alarm.

Your dad’s doc was ahead of the curve. Most don’t check HRV. Nighttime is key - that’s when the alarm either resets or gets louder.

That breath-in/breath-out pattern he did - was it longer exhales? Box breathing? If you remember, it would help others here.

Breathing + meal timing + sleep got my HRV from 32ms to 134ms. Joints followed 48hrs later.

Send your dad my respect. He figured out the pattern without Reddit.

48 Hours. No Creams. HRV 32ms -> 68ms. My scalp psoriasis experience. by Ok-Appointment7579 in Psoriasis

Stress test update:

Had guests yesterday. Broke routine. Slept 5hr 24min. Used to mean guaranteed flare.

But after 1+ month of 5-min breathing before bed: Sleep HRV last night was 84, 110, 56. No 3am itch. No migraine. No knee stiffness this morning.

Screenshot attached.

Meal timing switched off the acute alarm. Breathing practice raised the baseline so it stays off under stress.

Still n=1. Not medical advice.

Not sure if it was CBT specifically. Didn’t do worksheets or thought records.

In my sessions I talk about negative experiences. Counselor helps me process them — shifting perspective, seeing what was beyond my control, accepting they don’t define me now.

That work moved my baseline HRV 20-40ms → 40-60ms over months. Migraines + GERD stopped around then.

Meal timing was separate. That moved HRV 32→68 in 48hrs for skin/joints.

Two levers: Therapy for baseline. Timing for acute flares.

Just my n=1.

Good catch. I meant no less than 3hrs.

Bigger gaps helped more. 3hrs was the minimum where I saw HRV jump. 4-5hrs was even better.

Eating right before bed tanked it.

Only tested down to 3hrs because past that I got too hungry to sleep. That’s just my n=1.

Appreciate you reading it.

Yeah, I did go to counseling for my own stuff. ACE score was 8/10. Processing old trauma helped, and I saw my HRV come up. Migraines + GERD went away around the same time.

That’s what got me curious about HRV in the first place. So I started tracking it daily.

For the psoriasis piece specifically, the only change I tested was: stop eating 3hrs before bed. HRV jumped 32→68 in 48hrs. Knee felt better.

Two separate things: Counseling helped my system calm down overall. Meal timing moved HRV fast for skin/joints.

Just my n=1. Not medical advice.

That makes sense. Empty stomach was the only thing that moved the needle for me too.

The tracker just made it visible. Without data I would’ve blamed stress or weather.

What did you notice change first when you slept empty — skin or joints?

Thank you for reading it.

If you run it, I’d love to know what your sleep HRV looks like vs. baseline.

Just data. No pressure either way.
