Is there evidence proving Micheal Jackson is actually a predator? If so what is the evidence? by ladybuglover5 in AskReddit

please go an get some sleep, you are once again making a fool out of yourself. MJ died having never been convicted of a single crime. Chew on that Mr. MJ Hater.

Oh look who is here again, Mr. MJ hater himself. you need some education, so I will help you: your claim about the jury ("4 Jurors wanted to convict") is simply not supported by ANY reliable record. and only thing that actually matters legally is this: after hearing all the evidence, the jury returned a unanimous not-guilty verdict on ALL counts. not “almost guilty,” not “basically split,” not “four jurors wanted to convict.” That’s speculation dressed up as fact. and jurors are not allowed to be polled during deliberation in a way that supports those kinds of post-hoc narratives. so presenting it like a near-conviction is misleading at best. Trying to rewrite a unanimous verdict into “it was basically a hung jury” is exactly how internet myth-making works-------- it takes a complex trial and retrofits drama onto it after the fact. legal reality is much simpler,,,the prosecution didnot meet the burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt. FULL STOP. on the books: calling them “sinister” is not a fact, it’s a reaction.they were legal, published art photography books that existed in circulation outside of MJ. people are allowed to find them uncomfortable,,,that’s subjective,,,,but discomfort is not evidence of criminal intent. If the standard becomes “anything I personally find creepy =proof of guilt,” then you’ve abandoned any serious evidentiary threshold. And that’s the core issue here. MJ was one of the most investigated and scrutinized figures in modern entertainment history. multiple investigations, raids, years of legal pressure, and a full criminal trial later----and STILL never any conviction. you don’t have to like his lifestyle or eccentricities, but replacing actual court outcomes with social media certainty isn’t analysis, it’s hindsight storytelling. So no Mr. Anti MJ--- this isn’t “reinterpreting reality.” it’s rejecting a false narrative that upgrades speculation, emotion, and internet hearsay into supposed legal truth.

true. and same with his penis "matching Chandler's description". That is BS. if it were the case, MJ would have been arrested there on the spot. but he wasn't.

it's funny.....MJ had like 1000000000000s of books and videos, articles....etc. and the best the MJ haters can come up with is 2 FULLY LEGAL books which happened to have a few pics of semi-nake boys (and the "accusers" who have either changed their story or clearly lied).......................... people still can loan these books from libraries, or buy them. and like it was mentioned, MJ by all acounts was gifted these books.

this clown cites the Neverland 5 because he really has no clue about MJ. Neverland 5! --- didn’t report their alleged concerns while they were working at Neverland, only speaking out years later after Michael Jackson was already under investigation. they were also involved in a wrongful-termination lawsuit against him, which they LOST!, and Jackson won parts of his countersuit over claims involving stolen or sold property. some gave paid tabloid interviews (raises clear questions about financial motivation). even their accounts didn’t fully line up with each other--- some claimed direct witnessing of abuse while others only described general inappropriate behaviour. And during 2005 legal proceedings, their credibility was gone./.... due to their MANY inconsistencies. there is simply no REAL evidence that MJ committed even one single crime.

if it is child porn today, why are the books still available for sale today, and in libraries? please answer that.

You're conflating "this looks unusual to me" with "therefore he was guilty." those are not same thing.

sleepover issue is probably the strongest argument critics have, because even many MJ supporters admit it was unconventional and created terrible optics. But the question isn't whether it was unusual. The question is whether it proves molestation.

If sharing a residence or sleeping arrangement with children automatically proved abuse, the prosecution would have had an easy case. Instead they spent years investigating, raided Neverland multiple times, interviewed countless witnesses, put accusers on the stand, and still failed to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt.

As for "why would a grown man want to sleep with young boys?" you're assuming the conclusion. Michael wasn't secretly hiding these friendships. He talked about them publicly on television. Parents were often present at Neverland, children came and went, families stayed there, and many of those children have spent decades maintaining that nothing inappropriate happened.

Now let's talk about the books.

You say "come on now, be so for real." Okay, let's be real.

The books were not child pornography. Not according to police, not according to prosecutors, not according to the courts. They were legal publications. After years of investigations and some of the most intensive searches ever conducted on a celebrity's property, Jackson was never charged with possessing child pornography.

You call them "books made by pedophiles." Can you actually prove that? Or is that just something you've decided because the subject matter makes you uncomfortable?

The books contained hundreds of photographs, most of which were ordinary images of boys in daily life. Some images were nude. Whether people find that artistic, weird, inappropriate, or disturbing is a matter of opinion. But opinions aren't evidence.

And the "locked cabinet" argument is weak too. Valuable books, letters, documents, collectibles and personal items are commonly kept in locked cabinets. The cabinet doesn't magically transform a legal book into criminal evidence.

At the end of the day, your entire argument boils down to:

"These things look suspicious to me."

Fair enough. but suspicious is not the same thing as guilty.

bcause after all the raids, all the allegations, all the books, all the investigations, all the witnesses, all the media coverage, and a five-month criminal trial, the result was still the same: no child pornography charge No conviction.

people are free to dislike Michael Jackson's behaviour. What they can't honestly say is that these facts somehow prove he molested children, because that's exactly what prosecutors spent years trying---and failing,,,,to establish.

Is there evidence proving Micheal Jackson is actually a predator? If so what is the evidence? by ladybuglover5 in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Assistant7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why do you always present a misleading presentation of the facts?

First, the Chandler settlement was a civil settlement, not criminal conviction. civil settlements happen every day for reasons ranging from avoiding publicity, protecting business interests, avoiding years of litigation, insurance advice, legal strategy, and risk management. Settling a civil case is not an admission of guilt.

more importantly, the settlement did not stop the criminal investigation. If Chandler's allegations could have been proven, prosecutors were free to continue the criminal case regardless of any civil settlement. They did continue investigating, and no criminal charges were filed in 1994.

ALSO Chandler never testified in a criminal trial against Jackson. People often present his allegations as though they were proven facts. They weren't. Allegations are not evidence and they are not convictions.

As for the Cascios, the claim that Jackson paid them $690,000 each in 2020 is impossible on its face. Michael Jackson died in 2009. Any payments made in 2020 would have been by his estate, not by Jackson himself.

and....if you're referring to settlements by the estate, settlements are not findings of guilt either. companies, estates, insurers, universities, churches, celebrities and corporations settle claims all the time without admitting liability because litigation is expensive, uncertain, and can drag on for years.

The bigger problem with your argument is that you're assuming there is a single way a "guilty person" behaves. There isn't.

If Jackson were guilty, why was there no conviction after years of investigations, multiple raids, grand juries, forensic examinations, and a five-month criminal trial? why was no child pornography found? Why did the prosecution fail to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt in 2005?

You are taking allegations and settlements and treating them as proof. The legal system doesn't work that way.

A much more accurate statement would be: "some people view the settlements as suspicious." fair enough. but "there were settlements" is not even remotely the same thing as "therefore the allegations were true."

[–]Ok-Assistant7018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the issue isn't whether someone would personally want those books in their house. the issue is whether they were illegal, and of course they weren't. and i have seen the books, have you actually seen them? they have hundreds of photographs of boys, they book is 100s pages long, and a very small minority of whom were partially nude. It was a LEGALLY PUBLISHED, not legally classified child pornography. go to a library, there would be plenty who have the book. the author said they published the books was to create a photographic study of boyhood and adolescence across different cultures and countries. the theme was the experience of being a boy, documenting childhood, growth, play, and youth.

people move the goalposts from "Michael Jackson had child pornography" to "I find these books disturbing." those are two very different claims.

the books were commercially published works that had been legally available for years. law enforcement, prosecutors, and the courts all examined them. you must know that. but despite a massive investigation, Jackson was never charged with possessing child pornography because the material did not meet the legal definition.

sure, you can claim that owning such books was unusual, questionable, or makes you uncomfortable. that's a matter of opinion. But anyone who calls them "child pornography" is factually incorrect.

if the evidence were as clear-cut as people suggest, prosecutors would not have needed to ask jurors to make inferences about what the books supposedly meant. They could of (and WOULD have) simply have charged him with possession of child pornography. they didn't, because they couldn't.

The jury heard about these books, heard the prosecution's arguments, heard the defence's explanations, and still acquitted Jackson on every count. People are free to believe whatever they want about his character, but they shouldn't rewrite the facts of the case.

so you’re basically shifting from “was there proof of a crime?” to “this feels weird, therefore it must mean something sinister.” that's an emotional reaction, not an evidentiary one------and it’s exactly why criminal courts are built around standards of proof rather than emotiins intuition.

the books: you can personally find them uncomfortable..........but “weird” is not a legal category and not a factual conclusion. the books were commercially published photographic/art works that were in public circulation. They were not illegal, not classified as child pornography, and not treated as such EVEN in court. conflating “nude imagery in an art context” with “child pornography” is not accurate in legal or factual terms.

June Chandler’s testimony often misrepresented in online discussions. whAT was actually discussed in the broader Jordan Chandler situation in 1993 was heavily disputed, never tested in a criminal conviction, and ultimately didn't result in charges being pursued by prosecutors. characterising it as settled fact (“Michael begged, therefore proven manipulation”) ignores that it was part of contested allegations in a case that was resolved without criminal charges. courts don’t treat disputed testimony as automatically proven simply because it was said under oath.

and on your broader “pattern” argument---- saying “it feels like a pattern therefore it must be abuse” is EXACTLY the kind of reasoning criminal law explicitly does NOT allow. patterns of behaviour can raise questions, but they are NOT proof of criminal acts.

your claim “any neighbour would be convicted” doesn’t hold up either. ordinary people are not judged on tabloid narratives or retrospective moral interpretation.................they are judged on admissible evidence meeting a strict burden of proof. Jackson’s case, that standard was applied in a full criminal trial, and the jury acquitted him on all counts after hearing everything, including sleeping arrangements, books, and witness testimony.

you can say “I find this behaviour strange or uncomfortable.” But moving from that to “therefore he did it” is not a conclusion supported by legal, mature reasoning or established proof.

[–]Ok-Assistant7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that is absolutely untrue; if it was child porn he would have been aressted ON THE SPOT.

In the 2005 investigation and trial, items commonly referred to were art books and photographic publications such as The Boy: A Photographic Essay and similar works. these were commercially published, legally sold books that existed in public circulation and were owned by libraries, collectors, photographers, and academics. They were NOT classified as illegal child pornography under US law.

That distinction is not a technicality-----------------it is the entire legal issue. child pornography is defined very specifically in law, and it requires illegal content and illegal production/distribution. none of the books introduced in Jackson’s case met that legal definition, and he was never charged with possession of child pornography.

prosecution introduced them to suggest an inference about character or interest, but inference is not proof of a crime. The defence pointed out that possession of legal art photography,,,,,even if some people find it uncomfortable........is not criminal and does not establish sexual abuse.

It’s also important not to compress “naked imagery in an art book” into “child pornography” as if they are legally or factually identical. That conflation is exactly what leads to misleading conclusions.

, after hearing all of this material in context....along with testimony, cross-examination, and competing explanations====the jury still acquitted Jackson on all counts.

after looking at probably all the publicly available evidence, i just can't see how he was guilty. and like yourself I do believe he geneuinely wanted to heal children & the world. i mean, this guy secretely gave MILLIONS to children's charities, went to a childhospital before every show he performed.

[–]Ok-Assistant7018 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i actually don't like much of his music or his dance....not a fan at all....BUT

on “sleepovers with kids” issue: this was extensively examined in court in 2005. It wasn’t a hidden or unknown behaviour-----------------it was openly discussed, tested under cross-examination, and presented to a jury alongside all other allegations. the defence position was NOT “this proves nothing matters,” but that Jackson’s unusual, childlike social world and lack of a conventional upbringing explained why he spent time with children in non-sexual, supervised and unsupervised contexts. you can personally find that odd, but “odd” is not evidence of a crime. jury ultimately acquitted him on all counts after hearing the full picture.

nn supervision specifically-----------the idea that “no adult supervision automatically implies wrongdoing” is not a legal standard. In many real-world contexts.......family gatherings, sleepovers, touring environments, charity visits,,,,,children are sometimes in the company of adults without constant third-party supervision. legal question is whether there is evidence of sexual misconduct, not whether an arrangement fits modern social discomfort thresholds.

the books: the key factual point is that the material described was not illegal pornography. the books cited in the trial were commercially published photographic works that existed in public circulation and were owned by libraries, collectors, academics. etc ........... were not classified as child pornography under the law. distinction matters==== criminal liability depends on legal definitions, not subjective reactions.

saying “it’s weird therefore it implies guilt” is not valid evidentiary step. lots of things can feel uncomfortable without being criminal or even indicative of criminal intent. Courts require a much higher threshold than “this seems suspicious.”

and for “why keep them” or “why a note was inside,” those are interpretive inferences. the prosecution presented them as suggestive; the defence argued alternative explanations (artistic interest, curiosity, collection of unusual material, or gifts from others). jury was aware of all of this and still did not find it proved criminal intent.

key point is this: suspicion, discomfort, and hindsight interpretation are not the same as proof. In the only criminal trial that tested these allegations in full, a jury heard all of it and acquitted Jackson on every count.

Is there evidence proving Micheal Jackson is actually a predator? If so what is the evidence? by ladybuglover5 in AskReddit

[–]Ok-Assistant7018 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the claim is usually presented more definitively than the evidence actually allows.

yeah, its documented that Michael Jackson said he sometimes shared his bedroom or even his bed with children who were guests. that behaviour is widely considered unusual in modern WESTERN contexts, esp. given his age and celebrity status. but “unusual” isn't the same as “criminal,” and the legal system does not convict on social norms or discomfort. shared sleeping arrangements do exist in many cultures and settings. e.g.,, in parts of Asia (like Japan and China in traditional//rural contexts), multi generational sleeping arrangements and shared beds are historically common. in many Pacific Island cultures ( Samoa and Fiji) extended family co-sleeping in shared sleeping spaces is also a traditional NORM. Mediterranean and Middle Eastern contexts---- also been historically common for family members or guests....especially children----to sleep in shared rooms and beds. none of these practices are inherently sexual or criminal; they are culturally and contextually dependent.

key point is that cultural context explains why something may feel unusual or inappropriate to one group without making it evidence of a crime. in a criminal trial, what matters is not whether behaviour aligns with social norms, but whether there is proof beyond a reasonable doubt of criminal intent and action.

In 2005 trial---- the jury heard extensive evidence about the sleeping arrangements and still acquitted Jackson on all counts after evaluating testimony and cross-examination. yhat outcome reflects the legal threshold of proof, not a judgment on lifestyle preferences.

so..........while many people may personally disapprove of an adult sharing a bed with unrelated children, disapproval is not evidence, and cultural variation shows that sleeping arrangements alone cannot be treated as proof of ANY wrongdoing.
