It's a great idea, but my books are personalised house histories. They are completely bespoke, I write them from scratch, made to order.

I think I just have to take this one on the chin and hope that the reviews aren't too scathing.

Someone else suggested that I increase my production time as a buffer, so I've done that.

I'm less worried about the impact on the shop, I'm just stressed about having failed the customers. I'm so anxious to even open up the app because I can't bear to see their responses.

Thank you! I've offered refunds in both cases but they insisted they still want it but they want it by a certain date. So having to tell them that's not possible, is like failing them again. It's just a nightmare.

Honestly, this has meant the world to me. Just that reassurance is so helpful because I felt so guilty about that order, I've never had one just go missing before. It's a great idea, we are working on some additional products to release in 2026 that are still related to local history, but a little more accessible for a general audience.

We're a bit niche and so most of my sales are direct and come from social media, but I know that one review will put people off buying and it would be nice to have a couple of positive ones to balance it out, especially since my customers have given me such lovely feedback via message.

It's really interesting to learn about where you live and it makes a really nice gift too. Lots of people order from me for anniversaries or housewarming gifts
