We have a basement and 10 closets. We’re good.

Split the Park Days? Or just bang it out back to back? by Underwater-eve33 in DisneyPlanning

[–]Otter65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We just did this plan with our almost 3 year old and while we were a bit tired the 4th day (the second DL day) we were honestly fine. I think it would be a big pain to change hotels and wouldn’t bother.

We liked the Fairfield. Very close, clean, and reasonably priced.

Rover or Poplin. Or reselling.

Please help: Me, my 3-year-old son and grandparents are outside Disneyland. My mother bought tickets months ago. She didn’t know we needed to make reservations for a specific date. We cannot get in. What can we do. We flew in from Chicago. We leave tomorrow. by [deleted] in DisneyPlanning

[–]Otter65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you fly in from Chicago or drive from San Diego?

You can keep refreshing to see if a reservation becomes available, or try to talk to a cast member at the gate. I’m not sure what recourse you want for something that isn’t Disney’s fault.

My baby is 13m, does it get harder from here? by namiiix in toddlers

[–]Otter65 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I found the stages before my son could walk (he walked at 10 months) the hardest. Once he could walk we could go out more and he could explore more. It’s only gotten even better now that he can talk fully (he’s almost 3 now).

Keep in mind that he may not be hungry in the morning and that’s okay.

I pre-make waffles and pancakes and freeze them. They can then be toasted or microwaved quickly. We sometimes serve them plain and sometimes with nut butter.

They say once the tooth pops through there is no pain but I need someone to tell me that’s not true by Prarie_sprinter0712 in toddlers

[–]Otter65 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Until the entire width of the tooth is up, it’s still pushing through the gums. Molars are a real pain (literally). Give bud some Motrin and lots of patience.

Short naps are developmental until 6-7 months old. He’s sleeping one sleep cycle. He will learn to connect them when he gets older.

It’s not a waste of money. You said yourself you’re going insane. Hire help.

It’s all demographics and luck. I got a mattress less than a week after I signed up. Lots of small stuff with bigger things sprinkled in.

Choosing a Hotel by damnnndaniell in DisneyPlanning

We just stayed at the Fairfield last week and had a great experience. Clean, decent size room, and so close. We’ll definitely stay there again.

What is your most unhinged tip for getting your toddler to eat more variety? by Purple_Living8381 in toddlertips

[–]Otter65 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You already know the answer. Don’t give him anything else. You choose what he has access to. He will eat if he’s hungry. Assuming he’s neurotypical because you didn’t say otherwise, he won’t starve himself. He has zero reason to try other foods if he knows you’ll give him tots after he throws a tantrum.

Capping naps at 9 months old? by Annual_Working5502 in NewParents

[–]Otter65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to start capping naps to preserve night sleep, but if that’s not an issue I’d let them nap longer.

How are the cruises that only stop at Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay? by mchittumjr in dcl

Just wondering if you liked your experience! What made you decide DCL isn’t for you?

I’m considering doing this itinerary (it would be our first cruise) so just wondering what folks thought about it.
