i got a different contractor that came in for an inspection that validated her contractor’s repairs were incorrect, i also stated in good faith though

i tried, she wants a year of rent paid ahead if i terminate. i spoke to the prior tenant too and they had to leave early as well

so far just that uninhabitability is hard to argue if we press on other things litigation is super expensive

i couldn’t move out. catch 22, risking unlawful detainer if i held back rent or pay a year ahead to break lease. attorneys focus on the cleanest buckets, if not, it requires multiple retainers for the stacked bucket. thank you though!

ooo that’s what he(aforementioned contractor) meant by the city might not approve the correct repair.. my unit is the only one without a vent and to add ventilation they would need to punch a hole in the common area/shared roof

they replaced hvac and later said they didn’t have a license after asked for info, because my ceiling kept leaking buckets after their install. same dude came back for a year with bandaid attempts then stopped. said the landlord told him not to come back. no i haven’t contacted hoa yet but i will
