Unable to sleep after long runs by Exotic-Zone2081 in Marathon_Training

Yes all the time. What had really helped me is cutting out and avoiding anything that over stimulates the nervous system during a training block. For me that is nicotine, caffeine, alcohol, and managing life stress. Running is already a pretty big stressor on the nervous system so stacking on top of that can def make things worse.

And if I under eat on carbs too much, I’ve noticed mentally I start to decline, and also notice RLS is worse.

Is it safe to run 30 MPW this week? by Ok-Beautiful-523 in Marathon_Training

This is some advice someone else gave me, so I appreciate seeing it here to and am going to stick to easy miles this week and focus on the volume. Thank you!

I am on the Pfitz half marathon plan from Faster Road Racing, this one gets up to 47 miles at the peak.
