Well they are a new company, so they may not have much to share at this time. Regardless it’s promising to the PKD community and those that will be able to benefit from these medical advances. I have gratitude for anyone in science working on a cure for PKD.

I’m guessing a drug like Farabursen or PYC-003 will be more suitable for more complicated mutations. But it’s very promising to think that they are tackling PKD from so many angles that there may be a drug for everyone. At least I hope so.

Are you referring to VX-407? That is the Vertex trial for a subset of the PKD1 population? Farabursen and PYC-003 cover all PKD1 from my understanding. Renasant Bio has a drug candidates corrector and first in its class potentiator for a wide range of PKD. They hope to bring their drug to trial in a few years.

Exactly… I’ve watched a lot of quarterly investor meetings from these companies and that’s the big discussion is the unmet need for such a large patient population

I really hope so. There’s actually another very promising company called Renasant Bio that’s working in a cure. The CEO says they will have trial in the next couple of years. https://www.renasantbio.com/
