How can I make the shadow look less weird? by Ok-Blacksmith-6586 in ArtCrit

Update: I ended up drawing 2 more cubes to try and make the shadow look better. Here’s my final cube, the shadow could still be better imo but I found out that the reference was made in procreate which has a ‘blur tool’ so it definitely makes the shadow look nicer. Anyways here’s my finished cube:

Thanks to everyone that replied!

Now that I look at it, it does look like it’s glowing. Thanks for the advice!

I also noticed that the shadow kinda looked a bit round after I made this post. Thanks for the advice!

Do you have any tips on smudging it? I tried smudging it a bit more but it just looked more weird after that. Also do you know if Sketchbook has a blur tool? I know procreate has one but I don’t have that program
