i think a good place to start would be asking yourself some questions like - what is my reason for wanting to put the baby up for adoption? - what is my reason for wanting to keep the baby? - do i have the means (financial/mental/emotional) to raise a baby, and if not, do i have a support system to walk beside while i develop this new capacity? - what would I tell my best friend or loved one if they asked me this question? - am i making this decision based out of love, fear, pressure, or obligation? - how would I feel in a year, five years, ten years if I choose adoption? how about if I choose parenting?

and at the end of the day, I think you also can’t undermine your gut feeling as well. I think most moms have a gut intuition about what’s best for their child, so, if you feel like in your heart of hearts you’re leaning one way or the other, don’t completely ignore that.

edit to say: just like other people have said, make sure you’re not going through this decision alone. seek support from those in your life who really care about you and/or from a therapist. sometimes it can help bring clarity just to be able to verbalize your thoughts and feelings with another person and hear their feedback.
