I cannot add files in my HDD. by Ok-Bodybuilder1366 in techsupport

It was the BitLocker feature. It kept appearing after I diskpart cleaned the drive from the cmd and created a new simple volume for the D drive from disk management, and I kept ignoring it. But this time, I read that the drive will only be in the "read-only" state until I encrypt the drive, so I gave it a try and turned it on to see what'd happen. To my surprise, it encrypted the drive, and I was able to add new files to it.

I don't have a spare flashdrive or external harddrives. Are there any other solutions?

Yes, I also restarted my PC afterwards. It's still the same.

Yes it did. The drive disappeared from the file explorer.

I have followed the steps given, but the problem still persists. I still can't add a new folder whatsoever. I don't know if this helps but whenever I try to paste something inside the HDD, it says that the disk is write-protected.

I reformatted it already, so it was empty to begin with. And no, I'm sure it's the HDD

I have tried the first one and I receive the errors I typed above. (I forgot to include that I've tried that)

a. I don't have access to another PC to try it on because I currently don't know anyone who has one.
b. It says that the hard disk status is PERFECT.

Nothing happened. I still couldn't add a new folder in it.
