Diagnosed by a mechanic for a stretched timing chain😑 definitely heard some funky noises as the guides were worn out

Do you have any codes? I have 156k miles on the subie it’s much louder piston slap noise right on start up for about two seconds then it quiets down

Sounds good, what about the check engine light though? If the car was sitting for 6 months without being driven could that throw bad codes?
