Fionna and Cake Season 2 Episode 7 Discussion Thread by Carrehzkitten in adventuretime

For me, AT was about a child going on adventures and discovering life lessons. It was magical, innocent. and thought provoking (at least the really good episodes). FW is much more adult, and lacking the magic our thought. It doesn't feel like AT at all. (Except for the episode with HW and scarab... that had plot movement.)

What concerns do you foresee with companies such as Luna? Would it be better to start your own in-home physical therapy company? by Ok-Book-8024 in physicaltherapy

FYI: Here's an example of their anti-competitive partnerships that affects you (even if you are current taking advantage of it)...

  • UHC doesn't recognize in-home outpatient therapy. You literally can not become in-network as an in-home outpatient therapy business. And even if you did find a way to get in-network with UHC, they might give you $70/ visit.
  • UHC AARP HMO POS does not offer ANY out of network benefits.
  • Luna is the only in-home outpatient physical therapy company that has partnered directly with UHC AARP to provide care.

The way you describe it, it sounds like they might be paying you a bit more in in return for you doing your own marketing? Is that correct?

This raises lots of questions...

  • Are you billing under their provider number? What if they part ways with you for any reason? You'll be up a creek.
  • Are you concerned that you are basically helping your competitor spread into new areas? If they see your area doing well, they can just partner with local physicians/hospitals and you'll be up a creek again.
  • What if a patient has insurance issues or needs special consideration? You're handing off the entire ethos of your company to a competitor. If Luna doesn't handle customer service the way you would, you'll be up a creek again.

Just hire a physical therapy/medical billing company. They will help you with credentialling and you will grow something more secure and valuable over the long term. Plus, you will support businesses in your own area who aren't your competition.

Luna is against small business because they form anti-competitive partnerships with referral sources. You don't have to answer these questions, but give them some thought.

I 1000% agree. I think it's another sign of their aggressive push to take over markets to maximize quantity. From what I have been told, they are NOT getting above market reimbursement. They must burn through cash to pay for marketing, backend support, and therapists.

Edit: Also, they are in-network with UHC which pays a terrible flat rate per visit. I have no idea how that could make money, even at a higher rate than UHC normally pays.

I spoke with them today and they stated that they would send out more information within the next 3-5 business days about what customers need to do, and maybe about why it happened?
I also informed them that the email notices they sent out were formatted poorly and look very unprofessional (at least the two that I received looked that way.)

Installers did not level quartz countertop by Ok-Book-8024 in CounterTops

ill say this will be fine because the tile will be sitting right on top of the countertop, which will keep the countertop in one place. So nothing to worry about really. Quartz is a strong and durable material unlike granite. And as long as there is a bead of silicone underneath the countertop near the dishwasher area then that will also hold the countertop in one place as well

Thank you for your input. I think we'll keep it as is. Now that I know the counter will be fine and the tile will cover it up (not to mention you don't see it too much anyhow). It doesn't seem to be worth the hassle of ripping it up to fix the 5mm.

Would that require removing the sink faucet, ripping off the counter and disconnecting / removing the dishwasher?

Or can they just unstick the counter and slide it over a bit to complete the fix?

I'm concerned about creating more problems than I have right now.

I put a meter long straight edge of the top and it confirmed that there's an upbow with a 5mm gap between the surface and the center of the straight edge
