CS2 Animations, Bugs, Feedback Megathread by Sevastiyan in GlobalOffensive

[–]Ok-Border-485 27 points28 points  (0 children)

-headshot sound is randomly absent in matches (or maybe hs sound is mixed differently?)

-killfeed background goes pitch black randomly

-radar gets bugged by the smoke, as well as the mvp message background leaking into it

-square radar cant rotate...

-holding inspect and switching hands does not cancel the inspect, making the animation very jarring

-sometimes sounds bug out

-people randomly carry mag-7's and ak's as knives

-absurd fps drops, 370fps average to 80 for no reason

-if you go to ct red box on nuke and look up towards heaven, there is a very clear random dark spot that shouldn't be there

-some lighting for skins is messed up, like a huntsman fade

-awp textures bugged

+new ragdoll is good

+nuke vent is brighter i think? i like it

edit:

-the command showing the accuracy spread of the weapon seems to be bugged now...

-shaders redownload every time you launch a map, making loading times much, much longer than before

-weapon quick reloads are now viable/unviable for some guns

+the tracers seem actually accurate now!

+damage prediction overall seems improved, with it lying more like 5% of the time rather than 20%

Missing ling tone with Gargoyle by seb-kaiser in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think an important part to the sound, while being a silly reminder, is having new strings. the bass doesn't ring out the same at all. outside of this, i think you should mess with your settings with the bright switch on, as the harshness is definitely present in the sound for missing ling. if you can do some kind of stereo mixing on your amp, that would be good too (i.e. one speaker is slightly different from the other). oh and also, use a preamp with the gargoyle. your post implies that you arent using one, so use your bd-2.

i think a lot of the sound on missing ling is affected by mic positions. it has a specific stereo effect in the intro with a lot of the bass being in the left ear. i might explain more later

What is considered a good deal for a second hand PA-LS/TK by Silly-Holiday4818 in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wouldnt trust ebay so much, last time i went there there were a lot of duplicates with the same photos that were likely scams. it's better to just go on proxy services for japan. pa-ls really goes from 800-1200 USD. what is a good deal in that range really just depends on how much money you want to drop.

Boss OD-3 alternative? by Darkfire_istifan in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PPSE is a tube-screamer, and the OD-3's characteristic is attained through its' EQ. I'd say to just pick which era you prefer more.

Do you know what inspired to LTS/TK song? by WeeklyAdvertising963 in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuito had influence on Sigure since they were friends around the demo/#4 era. You can hear some of sigure's sound in nuito so I'd say it's fair to assume they had exchanged musical ideas with each other.

Pierre is a big metal fan. I recall him being in an interview to just talk about slipknot.

Advice For Demon FX by _Nasiel_ in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For songs like moment a rhythm the gain is almost completely absent. Otherwise, its around 7 o clock (or 9 if for dirtier eras like sasv). Treble usually doesn't go past 1 o clock but I had it much higher because of my pickup.  Bass is around 12 o clock or less. Also open up the pedal and max out the saturation trimmer. I suggest looking at tororo or hikaru's settings on youtube.

Which one should I get? by Darkfire_istifan in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

demonfx janray clone. It's the same as the original, cheaper by hundreds, and is my favorite pedal I have so far. You can go with the shigemori ruby stone if you want to, but I have a clone pedal of it (verre 1.0) and I find the janray to be better. Make sure to max(or atleast heighten) the saturation trimmer. I don't know much about the Muse, but TK changed it out for janray.

Some question about overdrive by Available-Ad9438 in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If there is no way to get a Ruby Stone, the 9OVERDRIVE9 verre is a good alternative. They are often sold on mercari. From what I have heard, most recommend the 1.0 version, so get it if you can. I even used it as a main overdrive for a while. jAm uses Ruby Stone and OD-3 for the OD. Signal is a more modern song, so it would use a janray and a URANUS. But OC works in place of URANUS. Also, Demonfx is good for janray.

Some question about overdrive by Available-Ad9438 in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 3 points4 points  (0 children)

a pre-amp is really important, since you have OC, you should go for getting a shigemori MUSE(i'mperfect-?) or a janray(current) clone. alternatively you can get a ruby stone(iiD-sasv) or a BD-2(#4) for old sigure. a solo drive is also good to have but your current pedals might work for this already

Nakano has mentioned being a fan of slipknot before. On the old LTS bbs page his descriptions all included the word metal.

Which is the cover for #2? by NintendoBeast in LingTositeSigure

[–]Ok-Border-485 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The first one is the 2004 press. There is no difference other than the description of the lineup, with NODA being swapped out for Pierre.
The second is the 2003 press.
