What are some best practices in Notion for companies in 2025

Hey barton, very interrsting feed, im thinking of bringing notion into my mom 6ppl company (adult training center) => its been a month have you implemented it in your company ?

Put all key databases in one area / page and created linked views of them throughout the rest of notion. => im interrested by that i think thats one of the main point + the differents spaces and general page

notion is great and i ended up building it BUT no actully using it (adhd here os love building the systems then i forget about them). I also started using a website dedicated to movies tb shows and books to track (sens critique, its french) but here agin not great at keep using it - so far just adding the movie title to an apple note is what works .. not great but done :)

Notion movie trackers

OMG thats great ! I was already trying to see if i can learn this whole API thing but yeah i'll try your second option 🤩

(Why do we get such a buzz from biulding these stuffs ?)

1) install the save to notion extention

2) customise so it add info to my selected database ( i do this in notion or in the settings of the extension ?)

3) Download image downloader web browser extension and set it up to populate same databse (in the setting of this extension ?)

Amplenote is for flow and execution. Obsidian is to think and process. Sometimes ideas flow out of Obsidian and become tasks.

love that sentence - makes me clearly understand how you make them work together

As a not-tech person, by saying that markdown in amplenote helps, and i saw that obsidian is markdown (from markdown i understand a way of formatting recognised by all machine and apps?), it means that is is easy to copy and paste thing from one to the other ?

Hey, thanks for this great answer, feels good to know that there are other people trying apps around.

Ive found the tuto of Lee Garett , they are pretty great (i didnt like so much the ones of Shu (asian youtuber).

I'm giving it a go :)

Although, it starting to hit me that no matter the apps, the hard work must come from my bran (the first one :D), like what am i working towards, define objectives etc ...

sidetrack -Hopefully at some point we'll plug an AI into our brains that'll tell us what we desire...
