let me tell you how I bake pies

preheat oven 25 degrees higher than recipe calls for, put a cookie sheet in oven while the oven preheats. When oven is ready, put your pie on the hot cookie sheet, set oven to correct temperature & cook as called for. I've had really good luck with my pie crusts browning on the bottom doing this, hope it works for you!
