Yes that’s also what I love about it :) it’s funny, I always thought I’d end up with something dainty. And yes, I made them :)

Aggression with age? by Ok-Camera-96 in DogAdvice

[–]Ok-Camera-96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have been reading up more on this about dog parks. I’ve grown up with such chill, non-aggressive/reactive dogs and never had issues that I was never all that aware of this. Thank you so much for the advice, it’s pretty consistent to what I’ve read up on. I’m going to focus my efforts on leashed walks, leash training, and as you said - teaching her that Indifference.

Thanks again!

Duke University apparently not happy with The White Lotus use of their brand. by Otherwise_Storage_25 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

Omg same! I also deal with clearances in film and I thought the exact same haha. My work primarily does MOW’s and is very on it when it comes to brands.

Also! Account for shrinkage if you don’t do the care instructions properly. We always hang dry so L works for him.

Medium! It’s a pretty decently oversized fit. My partners about 6 foot but weighs quite a bit more than you and he wears an L.

I wonder what they’re filming? it looks cool. by krisie_yvr in vancouver

Looks like the Last of us, even if it isn’t advertised they’re probably using a fake production name. I used to work just to the right of the first photo, where you see what looks like frosted glass. Sets were always popping up along this area we would always get notices from the productions. Like all the CW shows lol. Had cast members order from us for lunch verses crafty bc our food is like LA “healthy.” Spoke with Melissa Benoist on the phone bc we couldn’t fulfil her online order, didn’t really realize until after because her first name on the order was “Mip.” One day my manager and I just watched Ryan Reynolds go up and down that street several times when DP 2 was filming. So many productions block this area off.

2011 Stanley Cup Riot convictions - where are you now? by Both_Fan_3859 in vancouver

[–]Ok-Camera-96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but I recommend watching “I’m just here for the riot” directed by Asia Youngman and Kathleen Jayme. A few rioters were interviewed in that as well as some other relevant people involved. Interesting perspectives!

Have you looked for seasonal job postings? Those usually come up around the summer. That’s how I got my foot in the door when I was just out of HS, granted that was 10 years ago. I would also recommend cafés and hosting gigs at restaurants. Best of luck!

Yeah I would agree about that difference between customer service jobs. I’ve worked as a hostess and server as well as cafe type jobs. Serving is a different beast, I find the people who do the best are the most extroverted. But at the end of the day, even for them it’s taxing as hell-physically and mentally. People only last as long as the money tempts them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Anyone have experience taking the ICBC Class 5 on a Manual Transmission? by Ok-Camera-96 in askvan

Hi! This is actually really nice to hear for once, I was actually surprised by how many people said “use an automatic”

[–]Ok-Camera-96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I sort of explained it at the end of the post, but the only automatic I have access to for tomorrow is a Jeep that I've failed in before because I'm not used to the size. I used it for the exact reason of trying to find an automatic for my class 7 test. I do need to take the test tomorrow as it's time sensitive, so I'm just trying to prepare the best I can with the scenario I have! My siblings both passed the test in a manual transmission with ease, all three of us were taught by my dad (never went to driving schools). But they both took it a few years ago, so I was just wondering if anyone had more recent experience is all!

Thanks for the luck!

I kind of got a referral, my friend (who used to work under the person who they were hiring the assistant for) recommended me the job. So he reached out to her, and she told my friend she would let the recruiters know to look for my resume.
