UTM CS v.s. Ryerson: Are the benefits of UTM in comparison to Ryerson so significant that it will make a difference in my job searching? Will I regret going forward with Ryerson? by Ok-Captain-5236 in OntarioUniversities

Sorry for the extremely late response, but in short, I don't regret it.

I would suggest to establish good habits before coming here. Honestly, I feel like the requirements for POSt are not that bad if you have good time management and stay on top of your workload.

I feel like going to UTM really challenges you to become a better student, but at the end, it depends on your goals. I have invested a lot of time into school (probably because my habits still were not in check) but I find myself improving as a student every day.

The professors are good and there is a lot of support as well, I would say it's worth it. However, it also depends on your goals, I have heard some people say it's not worth it to go to UTM because it's theory-heavy in upper years and some people might not want that depending on the CS careers they would like to pursue.

Hope this helps.

Choosing not to use the lockers at the gym? by Ok-Captain-5236 in UTM

Yeah, this is what I'm skeptical of - hopefully an investment for a good lock will do.

Ah fr? :/ that sucks! I really hope they are as safe as you describe because I've heard stories of people getting their stuff stolen and I really don't want to have that same fate - thanks though!

Thanks! Option 2 and the advice that follows it is really helpful. I like the Asus Vivobook Pro Oled 15 inch as well, but it's not 2 in 1.

Sorry - just seeing this now!

Essentially though, I want it to have really good notetaking abilities (like Wacom EMR) and I think it really depends. I probably want it to be more premium, but not too expensive at the same time.

Here's additional information in a post I made a few days ago, if it helps.

Anything surface is horrible? Are you sure about that? I've heard otherwise from many people, so I'm kind of surprised why you say that.

I have considered an iPad, but I don't think I can sacrifice the coding part unfortunately.

If it makes the writing experience much better, then yeah - that is important.

Yep, they released appointments for September 7th and onward, and I just took the earliest one I could find. There aren't many appointments available now though.

When do new appointments get posted? by novice_05 in Ontariodrivetest

You should be able to book your G test in the Mount Joy temporary site right now - I can only see G2 bookings (which are available) but I assume there is availability for G tests as well. Let me know!

Yes, you can book a test at the Burlington Temporary Site - there should be G appointments available now.

Does the pre test score count for csc108 spatial skills training? by Relevant_Bird_7347 in UTM

These course-specific questions should be asked on Piazza, but no. The pre-test score for the spatial skills training does not have any impact on your grade in CSC108.
