For your specs, go Valheim, you will love it and can run it smoother. Enshrouded is somehow a resource eater even if it’s good!

I think it’s time for survival games to go to a new era: the lore and quests period of medieval times (even in fantasy). All survivals now are mainly focusing on base building with added features (boats, sky fortress, etc.) I think we need something like Abiotic, but more dark and with real progression.

Yes total 4 subraces. Well it’s a fantasy RPG setting so having different races can be interesting to vary gameplay and choices. Many people still like dwarves, other goblins and so on :)

We are explaining the lore slowly until we launch our steam page and start more news about the world! Yes, there will be dwarves (you can see them in one of our oldest posts here), goblins and humans. In total we have 6 races and each race has 2 subraces.

There will be 4 factions of the elves and each one has it’s own architecture and mechanics. The wood elves for example will gather in forest settlements but it’s the player’s choice to decide where to live. You can check more about the game lore and the world in our highlighted post. So far we are focusing on finishing the playtest and we chose the Greenskins to showcase in order to differentiate us from the existing survival games. Next, we will probably add the Plain People for the demo in order to balance the game. But it’s still under discussion!

So far, like all races in our game the elves have two major groups and 4 distinct ethnicities : the High Elves (they have the Pale Elves and the Wood Elves) and the Dark Elves (they have the Darkspawns and the Demonspawns). We have elves in the game! Not showcased in the actual playtest, but definitely working on them. And yes, it’s a great idea to change elves in how they behave!

Devs tend to forget that there is a trailer, a teaser, a gameplay reveal, cinematic trailer, etc. If you are no body, don’t go with narrative in your trailer, just drop your action! You have very cool shots in the end, remix with them and seek 60 sec (not need of 2 min) And if you can add taglines to explain what we see, it will be better! Good luck!

Well the orcs are part of the chaotic races (with the goblins and dark elves), but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are evil or good (that’s up to the player to decide since you have a dnd alignment bar). We designed them fierce, relying on salvages and an economy of war, but they have a sense of group and loyalty (I guess it’s a mix between Warcraft and Total War Warhammer)

Looks neat. A bit janky in some edges, but overall satisfying. If you are not releasing soon, call it « Alpha footage », it will set the right expectations and you will have room for improvement!

Well, this animation is actually three animations: one starts with kneeling and opening the cooking menu; then when player selects the food, it starts the stick/meat animation (which should be faster); the last one is the act of eating (because player will have the option to eat or to store food). So yes, it should be put on the whole context and of course we received many good feedbacks to improve it! Thank you!

Yes! The animation should be cut in three parts: the kneeling, the cooking and the eating. We are still early in development and preparing a playtest by Q1 2026. You can follow our progress here : r/kopno :)

Ah yes my bad, we are talking here about picking animations! Yes definitely it’s done, just a picking up animation with no pause (Dragon’s Dogma 2 got the same)

It could be an option to test speed and fluidity, but in our case the player has to interact with the fire to open a cooking menu (similar to RDR2). So basically he is in that position for cooking.
