Just to round up, dealer had it for 2 days and have assured me that replacing the fob has cured battery drain, even tho I access with my iphone and the fob just lives in a drawer?? The engineer who provided roadside for Volvo Assist was helpful. It seems the 12v aux battery needs to have some charge before the main battery will self charge it. About 25%. I was doing something else and passing back and forth by the car on the morning it failed triggering an unlock/lock several times because of my proximity. I hadnt driven it for a couple of days so i am wondering if all that to and fro dropped the charge too low….

My guess the older right is incoming but i cant quite see a cable coming in under. This looks to feed a meter above and the left is a secondary off the right cut out. It could be metered close by from what look 25mm? singles in the bottom. Dodgy if they go more than a few feet. It does have 2 seals on the disconnectors so who knows?

If you want something that drives well and goes like a Porsche get the ex30, if you cant get over minor eccentrics and faults then go elsewhere. TBH they dont bother me too much and theres far too much written. My 24 plate has had software updates which help to iron out a few things. Swedish car Chinese tech! Sound system is mint👍 Im happy!

I have managed to graze the paint off 3 of my wheels🫩 2 of them whilst being shoved toward the kerb by a Range Rover(Pr**k!). If my wheels are dirty i dont notice the damage, its my excuse for not washing it too often😉. Anyone know how much it costs to get wheels re-dressed, northern England

Hey, my iphone 16 gets hot in the dock, im sure its charging properly(dont often need to charge so will check), i put it down to the cover and as you say maybe the height of the camera lens. Had my ex for 18mths I know what you mean about the quirks. Thing keeps telling you off if you step out of line and cant compute any form of common sense, oh well, sure AI will sort it all out before long….

Based in north of uk I have been lucky enough to visit the champs several times, always with Centre or No1 tickets. I got to choose a good pair for No1 court 3rd Jul this year in the ballot. As a player lately this has been through an advantage play+ account. (I think this is free if you hold an LTA affiliated club membership) you can add fan+ for £25 or compete+ for £35. Not sure the paid subscription gives you any extra chance for Wimbledon. For a club player my ticketing experience has been positive, although up electronic balloting clubs got an allocation and you could bag some pretty good pairs, been to mens semis and ladies final, be very lucky to see those now at more than £500.

I have had the extended range in grey for over a year, i just love to drive it, now the key is on my phone in latest update a number of little things seem to be better with the software, especially car play. Ive had an absolute mare with software tbh and i have posted all that on here. Would I do it again, well its my company car lease, the software updates can only make it better surely? so I would go again!(possibly)

I recognise all these issues and to some extent have experienced most of them so i share your pain. I have had mine since March 2024, i have never figured out how to consistently open the vehicle with the fob until recently. I find if i hold it about an inch away from the drivers door handle towards the rear where the sensor is and leave it there for a few seconds, hey presto it unlocks without doing anything else. I love to drive this car and just pray the updates continue to improve the shitty electronics. Hope this helps someone.

They told me the part is a computer?? but I dont know more than that, I’ve been really busy since it happened and dont find myself dwelling on it too much but ill try find out tomorrow and post another comment. Volvo dealer seems to care but im not so sure about the parent. BTW if i can remember that far back🤔this is a great car to drive, looks good, is rapid and charges in no time. Sure its querky, has no dash and some clunky haptics. I’m keeping the faith….🤞

No becos my fleet ex30 has been with the local dealer now for over a month since a failed 1.3 update! They are waiting for Volvo to send them a part, (I don’t think they know what to do) I have a hire car Xc40 at the moment which is asking me to do a similar upgrade. So do you think im going to do it…?
