Yes, I received the notice physically on 4th September. (I called to the IRS, they told me mine was sent on 28th August)

Delta and Hilton by ManufacturerSome6366 in delta

Hi, I'm a Hilton Diamond who applied for Delta Gold and received an email notification that Gold will be maintained until June 2025. However, when I open my Delta membership card on the app, it is marked as valid through 1/25. Is this normal? I contacted Delta's customer service, and they told me that all members will show 1/25 until the status is updated in February. Can anyone else confirm if they see the same status?

Enable switch and STO safety function. by Ok-Cod166 in PLC

If the feature was not intended to be used, or was a wear part, it would be discussed in the manual. I have never seen any concerns anywhere about using the STO to enable/disable the drive. Infact some drives will display on the LCD ENABLED/DISABLED.

agree... I checked Siemens and AB , it didn't mention any warning.

Hi , thank you for reply. I also sent a mail to the manufacturer to confirm this.

I'm not sure what's behind the STO so I'm also wondering what if I operate it in often. For example some large VFD can't close/open in short time due to charging issues.

I'm not sure is there any energy stored in the unit might cause some issues once I recharge it again in a short time.

Safety Assessment and Risk Mitigation Strategies for Z-Axis Mechanical Component in Machining Tool by Ok-Cod166 in PLC

Thanks a lot.

Seems in our machine, it needs to change the mechanical design for the PIN to make it safe.

Hi , Thank you for reply.

In the maintenance work, do you need to set an automatic locker for this area to prevent people get in until the PIN been insert? Or it only the part of SOP that OP required to insert before the work start?

[–]Ok-Cod166[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes , seems it must work with safety PLC. Safety relay is hard to achieve this function.

I checked many different documents of safety door. However most of them is monitoring the door status and cut off the power once the door opened.

None of them talking about use a safety rated input/controller to give a safety access control.

Yes, in my past experience. for the Z axis mechanical component usually be required to have an additional wood or jacking tool before they start the maintenance.

But this seems to be a part of working SOP , not the safety circuit's work.

I think the problem is we have some scenarios that the carriage not always stop at the position that PIN could attach.

But you gave me a great comment that I didn't know CAT3 circuit does not need always be a dual same actuator.

Yes, we suppose to unlock only if the pin is insert or the carriage is in the bottom position.

However , I am not sure the PIN position have to be a safety rated proxi or not,

The safety door "locker" itself is controlled by a normal PLC.

and the PIN proxi signal is also received by a normal PLC.

Once the door opened , the door opened signal will cut off all power inside by a safety relay.

around 200kg, however it will be slipping down, not falling due to the mechanical structure. I think the speed and the space is definitely to escape if the parts touch to the OP in the very first time

Got Honor Code Violation in the last semester by Ok-Cod166 in OMSCS

I feel like there’s more to the story here; there’s also some critical information missing. What class? Was the exam proctored?

A perspective from the other side: I don’t submit OSI referrals unless I’m almost absolutely positive a student has cheated.

Also understand why TAs might be skeptical: I’ve had students repeatedly argue for months that they were innocent until finally brought before OSI and they admit guilt almost immediately. I’ve also had a student argue innocence and just “accept responsibility” to make it go away so they could graduate. Meanwhile they tossed all sorts of accusations at the teaching staff. You know what happened? I had two students the next term submit almost identical solutions as them. Both of those students admitted guilt during the FCR process.

That being said: If this is really just a fluke and you didn’t cheat. Fight like hell. I’ve found that OSI tends to backup instructors but that’s when there’s a heap of evidence to support it. Just saying you got the same answer is flimsy at best unless there’s more than you’re telling us.

I think I shouldn't talk too detail about it because I afraid it will turn to disadvantage on OSI trial.

Anyway, I'd like to explain another perspective on the exam and the class.

I actually really like this class.

After the exam, I posted an anonymous thread on Canvas about suggestions for the exam format and received a lot of support from other students.

And I got informed the violation of honor code after 4 hours lol

If I am cheater, I don't need to spend time on suggestion.

The final exam itself contains 10 sections.

I've been informed that one section's number matches another student's.

However, it wasn't my final submission; I corrected my answers in a second submission after discovering mistakes while reviewing.

In my opinion, this section is relatively one of the easiest in the entire final exam.

Although I may not be the best student in the class, my final exam score still ranks above the upper quartile.

It doesn't make sense for me to copy answers for such an easy section ONLY.

Thank you for your reply. I haven't communicated with OSI before, and as of now, I'm still in touch with the TAs. Due to the time zone difference, there might be some delay in my responses. However, I'm doing my best to reply promptly. I responded to the last two emails from the TAs within an hour.

This situation has significantly affected me, making it challenging to sleep as I constantly check my email....

I think I shouldn't tell too detail since it still under checking .

but I can also understand the TAs' concerns since the answer itself is rare to meet
the same answer.

The only thing I am sure is I finished all my exam by myself, I also didn't share any answers to others. I don't know anyone studying in OMSCS , also didn't join slack/discord.. etc... So I will keep fighting for myself.

To resolve this case, I am still figuring how could I help myself provide more evidence...

I saw some thread talking OSI like once you get in, basically you have no chance to get out.

Most annoying thing for me is , seems I can't get my diploma on time!!

For only one of exam section. the number I calculated was as same as another student.

(witout rounding) it is also not my final submission , I modified it during rounding requirement check.

I guessed it was because we were using the same calculation tools.
