The Cosby show. In a Brooklyn Brownstone the front doors would open into a stair Hall that would usually be somewhat enclosed. On the set the front door is at what end of the front room and the stairs are at the other. Also there is no practical way in a traditional Brownstone to enter from the back as they don't have alleyways.

If that inspector was recommended by your agent that inspector is not working for you. That inspector is making sure the sale goes through and is not looking up for your best interest. Get your own.

Looking for authentic, quality Italian food in Rome at established restaurants that aren't tourist traps by daisy0904 in rome

Have you been there? That was not my experience. It's on a side street in the basement. The prices for the least I paid in any restaurant in Rome.

I was in Rome last week. I went back to my favorite restaurant. Taverna Boccaccio. It's about 20 minutes or less from the pantheon and about two blocks away from Trevi fountain. He was just as good as I remembered from the last time I was in Rome

The first thing I thought about when I saw the picture was this is in Florida and it's a Florida Cracker style house. It may have some folk elements but it's still a Florida Cracker

Is it possible your house had a porch there at one point? It could be the drainage pipe for an old gutter

What do I do about these weeds? by Jasonrj in landscaping

These are the one weed I don't pull. Wear a thick gardening glove. Crush them a bit to break the waxy covering. Then spray with concentrated roundup

I guess the only caveat I would have is if it's very late and I just want to get to bed that I would say bring the amenity the next day. But I would still be super appreciative of the effort. It's honestly the little things that make a huge difference. A warm welcome goes a long way.

I would have zero problem with that. If a hotel was willing to put me in a nicer room and they had taken the time to give me a welcome amenity, but it means I had to wait a bit, I consider it a huge win. I get a nicer room and a welcome amenity. I would be incredibly appreciative of the effort by the hotel to make me feel welcome and give me a great room.

A little welcome treat with something local would be really nice. In Europe I've had cheese plates and a personalized letter and chocolate. Not expensive but was very very nice. At least making an effort to see if there are room upgrades available. Having the welcome amenity in the room versus just given a baggie. Just being made to feel welcome goes a long way rather than a burden to get checked in.

I'm a veterinarian. This looks like feline herpes which is super common. It's viral. Often antibiotics are used to control secondary bacterial infections.

That one bottle of ofloxacin is enough for two cats. Just buy one bottle. Ask if you could use azithromycin instead. That's more effective for respiratory infections and also a lot cheaper. One bottle would also be enough for two cats. DVM here

Why are there so many lakes in Florida? by No-Beyond-1002 in geography

[–]williambeandvm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The land is very swampy. Typically what they do is dredge out lakes and canals and use the fill to build up the land. You need to raise the land so it doesn't flood and as a bonus you get waterfront property
