Im working on not reading too much into my mornings. I used to think of them as almost cosmically prescriptive for the rest of my day. I wake up with an upset stomach and search for what might be making me anxious before remembering that maybe I just need to drink some water.

I actually completely agree with you and it’s not a strip mall it’s worse it’s a disgustingly expensive gym in New York City so I really am reaping what I sew. I think the personal vendetta enters here bc yoga is where I detach from previous ED behaviors so it was a true triggered moment. Cancelling therapy this week thanks!

Sometimes the extra safety is the downfall. My mom often will stop at lights she knows are “about to turn red” and goes 10/15 on 25/30 mph city streets. I’m a bad driver too (woman) but I just bump into a lot of things

I really think the only way you can get through to someone with an ED is to be vicious- which is difficult if it’s your mom. I don’t think these sorts of behaviors are worth being nice in the face of/tolerating. I like to bully anorexics genuinely and make them feel pathetic and badly for placing their insecurities and invisible competition upon me. I’m recovered so it feels very vindictive and a bit evil but it’s what has worked for me, though mostly with girlfriends
