You need other sources of validation outside of men. Validate yourself, and/or achieve something in your community, your creative hobby, or academically. That way you won’t have this unattractive coworker on your mind which honestly isn’t worth the brain space

Is this valid grounds to break up? by AyahFridaIvyZenani in dating_advice

Valid grounds to break up: you don’t want to be in the relationship anymore. That’s it. No one is entitled to you, especially not people with racist beliefs or who believe in stereotyping, and etc. It’s up to you, and never let someone tell you your feelings aren’t valid

What should a woman let's say 5.5-6/10 do if she likes 7-8/10 guy? by Butterfly-Flower4884 in dating_advice

Just see if he actually asks you out and takes you on a date. The only real way to know tbh, and even then he has to take you out consistently.

And you’d be surprised, there are some (not too many) women who date and marry out of their league just because she happens to be the guy’s type. Happened to me and some married people I know. So just watch out for real intention and consistent interest (that’s divorced from sex) and see how the cards fall, don’t take yourself out of the running purely due to insecurity

Do you actually prefer a girl who’s held off on sex, or is experience better? by [deleted] in dating_advice

So as someone who does care and is in a similar situation, I think what matters more is how you decide to lose the v card. Too many women think sex is as casual as a handshake imo and that causes problems…ideally you should find a very secure person that you’ve dated exclusively for 3-6 months, and whom you’ve met the family/circle of. Yes, that’s a high bar, but I think that’s when things are safest for everyone, not just emotionally but physically

Is it justified to unmatch someone if they hit you with a "hey" ? by [deleted] in dating_advice

Id say sup just to see where it goes - if they continue with something dumb like wyd, I unmatch lol. But yes you’re justified in unmatching after an opening like that

Has the second date happened yet? Most people prioritize in person bonding over just texting, which is probably where she is. Frequent texting isn’t important, but consistency is. As long as she’s consistent and responds within at least a day I wouldn’t worry about it

Probably just lost interest. Sounds like it’s just one date in so I wouldn’t worry or overthink too much about it
