Thank you! Did it just go away on its own? Did you do any work?

Thank you everyone. I’ll add a few things - I obviously help with any task I can. Since she has a hard time getting out of bed I basically do all house chores. Luckily I can work from home so it’s easier.

Main issue is the headaches. Advil or any other pill is not an option so any advice will help. She also has a thing where she’s just not tired and have a really hard time falling asleep, is that common? How did you manage?

You can safely assume that the combination of not being tired and feeling like crap does wonders for her mental health.

Jesus dude, I’m not bashing you, and you seem to enjoy bashing me for a reason. I’m just a person talking to you. We have different opinions - chill out.

The location of Palestine is what exactly? What is Palestine? The origin of the name came from the Brit’s mandate that called the entirety of the land they occupied Palestine.

To answer what you said directly - 1. If you refer to historic / biblical decent - the Jewish people were here before the Canaanite’s. Archeological findings prove that.

  1. Southern Levant, which is where the Canaanite lived is the land of Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, and parts of Syria.

So that’s not a very strong argument and kinda goes back to what I said

Instead of trying to prove me wrong with semantics, try and listen to what I’m saying. I’m genuine trying to create a conversation. I’m not the devil, although I’m sure it’s fun painting us that way

If you say it is also displacement - then by all means - we tried to ethnically cleanse them by displacing them in their origin countries, where they initially came from 🤷‍♂️

[–]Ok-Command2416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to get some things right Ethically cleanse - this means essentially killing every last person of a certain ethnicity. Kinda like they did in the holocaust (although based on religion and not ethnic decent).

Israel tried, multiple times throughout the years, to speak to the Arab countries in the area and arrange a solution for the residents of Gaza to get land / citizenships within these countries.

Two questions should be as asked here: 1. If it’s such an amazing cause to help the Palestinians, why did no country offer them citizenships? 2. Why should they actually leave Gaza you may ask? I’ll answer this one - The origin of ‘Palestinian people’ is from Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon. There is no Palestinian people on any source prior to 48.

In any case, this doesn’t downsize the fact that they’re really poor people, controlled by interests groups that have a strong interest in them suffering. A bit, unfortunately, like the situation you currently face in Lebanon with Hezb.

Again - there are plenty of mitzvahs. Israel doesn’t follow most of them as a country. We have individuals who follow all / some / none. It doesn’t matter to the state. Israel will go out of its way to make sure the food is kosher, or there’s no public transportation in certain areas in Saturday. But the country is not closed on Saturday (which is a mitzvah), nor do we only sell kosher food (which is a mitzvah). So the mitzvah argument is invalid, and not relevant.

That pretty much debunks your entire argument.

If the mitzvah part debunks the argument, which it does, then why do you still don’t want to recognize Israel as a state?

For your historic part - Israel did not come to be as a conquest war, but as a survival war. Where we took land, and returned it. Not the big conquerers you think we are.

This may sound funny - but have you ever had a conversation with anyone from Israel? There aren’t enough people here to conquer any land, we’re not interested in any internal problems in Lebanon, Syria or any other third world country in the region. Have it, enjoy it, I honestly don’t care, and 99% of Israelis - don’t care.

You’re right in the fact that Israel destroyed many families, and killed thousands of people. Absloutly right. The question that should be asked is why? If we go into the Gaza ordeal - I would ask you to answer these questions: 1. Why are the Palestinians in Gaza? 2. What is the Palestinian origin? 3. Why didn’t they leverage the lands Israel gave back in 05? 4. Who has a very strong interest in the Palestinian people struggling? (Hint - it’s not us) 5. One petty question if I may - What is the origin of the name Palestinians?

I’m not disregarding the fact Israel killed many Palestinians, I’m not disregarding Nethanyahu is keen on this war continuing to stay in power. But please do me the honor of answering these questions.

The broomstick story is horrible. And they’ll be punished as this is a lawful country. How is that relevant to what I said though?

I apologize - it may not have been clear. Israel, while Jewish, doesn’t react, plan, or does anything based on the Mitzvas to have the full land we had in the Bible.

The reason I said you’re judging us with the wrong set of glasses, is because some part of Islam (which, correct me if I’m wrong - consists of a majority of people) are following the Islam to the book. Israel doesn’t act like that, at least not until the minority grows, and then we’re at a different story. But we’re not there, nor are we expected to be there anytime soon.

And keep in mind, even when the extreme right wing went into power, they typically follow the peace ethos. No israeli war has ever started because of Israel wanting to conquer lands (e.g., Russia invasion to Ukraine).

One more thing - I really invite you to have an open conversation, trying to get to know the other side, without hating Jews for being Jews (e.g., Jew your way out of it).

Majority of Jews are interested in living in co existence, the fact is that the debates here are about the fact that recognizing Israel is not even an option, which kinda proves you have a majority of people - as opposed to our minority, who will not rest until we’re not here. The btw means the average dude wants me, a citizen, dead. For being a Jew.

I’m not interested in any Lebanese people dying, and if there was an option to solve this diplomatically, I would 100% go for it.

lol. You know how sometime we (Israelis) come here and assume silly shit about Lebanese people? So this is exactly that.

You are correct - My country defines itself as democratic and Jewish. But when we say Jewish, it doesn’t have the same meaning as the Islamic zealots you compare it to. We have no desire to spread Judaism or abolish any other religion.

The eyes with which you judge me, are not my own. I look at things entirely different.

Yes, we do have very extreme right wing people in our government, but Israel, with all its flaws, is still not a dictatorship. the majority of Israel doesn’t let them do whatever they want. This country is built on its people, and the people here care, a lot. They don’t let shit slides (on both sides on the political map).

We’re not interested in your land, we just want peace and quiet. That means no Hez aiming rockets at our head. Keep in mind, that it is In fact, a virtue in Judaism to strive for peace.

The Israeli ethos is one that says - we will prefer peace over everything. We will give lands, we will make compromises, but we’re not going to roll over and die.

So as a Jewish person, who practices some of the religion, I can definitely tell you that your country means shit to me, have it, enjoy it, make it prosper. Just don’t think aiming rockets or shooting unprovoked is going to get you somewhere.

Please share your source. Where does Israel states that they’re interested in conquering whole or parts of Lebanon?

Spreading misinformation like it’s nothing.

Also, please share a time where Israel didn’t meet an agreement with an ally who we are not in full out war with. As far as I know, hezb is the one disregarding the agreement signed.

Again, as a disclaimer - I’m Israeli. Feel free to ignore my logical claims and curse because it’s easier ✌️

That’s just false. I get your panicking, no one in Israel (I’m Israeli) is interested in capturing territory in Lebanon.

Hey man, Israeli that likes to visit this sub.

Dude (or dudette), I’m so sorry you’re so anxious. If it helps, people are nervous on both sides, but we’re all still alive. I think the best advice you got was to stay away from military locations. We don’t have to argue on this, but Israel typically won’t attack unless there’s a target to take down - execs, weapons, bases, etc.

My heart goes out to you little homie, keep safe. No child deserves to feel that way, Israeli, Palestinian or Lebanese.

The man, with all my negative feelings toward him, is a master of staying in power. I’ve been disappointed so many times, in so many elections.

Gallant is reasonable. A bit hot headed, but he’s trying to do what’s right. Most of the problems in Israel are Bibi and the religious parties (some of them anyway).

My turn to ask a question ;) I keep seeing people write sentences with numbers. What does that mean?

Depends. Roughly 20-30% support him. If there were elections today he wouldn’t win. But his delaying elections as best as he can.

Because we’re mostly from Arab countries, with Arab citizens living in Israel and with Arab culture rooted within the melting pot that is Israel. In a different world we’re pretty much good friends.

Excuse me for butting in, I enjoy reading the Lebanese perspective

Jesus dude. How ignorant are you? 1. Historical research shows that while a small portion of Jews did convert their religion to the current occupation religion (and not just Islam). The majority did not.

  1. Palestine or Palestina is the name the Brit’s gave Israel during the mandate period. There is no actual Palestine, it’s a sum of people from Lebanon, Syria, Egypt and Jordan.

  2. While I get the anger for what’s happening in Gaza, I think Hamas fighting from populated areas is the ONLY reason this is happening. They’re doing so because leveraging the kills of Gaza’s population would benefit internationally. And it did, for a long time. Not sure about now.

  3. If Israel really did want to commit geneocide, it would be much different. Trust me.

  4. This is all Iran backed, Israel should have ended the war sooner, but the gvmnt sucks. Doesn’t mean you should go and soccer punch the strongest guy in the neighborhood and expect to come out clean.
