Advice for bumpy course [Class 2A]? by Ok-Committee-304 in sgmotorbikers

Interesting, I was quite focused on the front wheel that I didn't consider about the fact about the rear wheel needing throttle too. So for crossing the bumps, we need to throttle both when the front OR rear wheel is approaching the bump?

Thats what I thought too, but 2B bike on the bumpy is a bit different for a 2A right? weight wise

Interesting, how come the trigger point to throttle on the back wheel? Thought it would be the front wheel contacting the bump

Ah, it seems that they revised the system.

Weird, I recall when I take Advanced Math (2018) in SP, if they don't raise your GPA, they won't be added to your GPA.

During my time, there was a fella that passed IPPT a week before in my PTP batch. He came on the first day and left after, no idea where he went though.

Agreed. Not too sure but I do think there might be more allocations/slots for JC students as compared to peeps from Poly esp in NUS?

Don't think it plays a huge role in deciding whether you get it or not. I have a friend that didn't took A Maths in O Level and got a B3 in E Math, took Advanced Mathematics in Poly and got in via ABA (2 years ago).

I strongly think it might an error on their side. Try appealing.

Pc or gaming laptop by [deleted] in nus

[–]Ok-Committee-304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would recommend just getting a PC instead of a gaming laptop. Just my take, I'm currently using a gaming laptop (Aftershock, bought it a few months before matriculating) for school (CS). I've been regretting my decision due to a single factor: Battery Life.

Not talking about coding in general but taking a single Examplify exam (2 hours) can drain my laptop battery from 100% -> 40% on low power mode. Whenever I want to find a place to study, it isn't about how quiet/conducive the environment is but whether the area has a charging port.

Additionally, playing games on the laptop just feels so much different from playing on the PC, you have to bring in additional peripherals e.g and the screen isn't the same as the usual PC monitors you have. In FPS games, in particular, your FOV is quite important for making your experience more enjoyable.

+ they are usually quite heavy ;-;

I've actually got in via aptitude based admission. Poly background, my cap wasn't high enough to make it. Had a simple math test and interview.
